Anarion: One of the few pocket knives with a comfortable and full grip. Strong lock and 420hc steel will hold up to plenty of daily and outdoor use, and sharpens back up easily. Perfect EDC size whether you carry in a pocket or with the sheath. The price has gone up since the old days, but it’s definitely still worth it.

PAUL D MCDONALD: This knife is a testament to enduring quality and timeless design. It's size is perfect for various outdoor tasks--it fits nicely in your hand and has just the right amount of "heft" for a good hand-held kife.
One of the standout features of the Buck 110 Folding Hunter is its impeccable craftsmanship: flawless build, perfect alignment of components, precision... my extensive use is why I consider this the best single-blade folding knife on the market today.
I would say that if the 110 is too much heft for you, then consider the Buck 55 as an alternative.

Wachkatze: This specific Buck model has been around for many years. In fact, I had one some 30 years ago and used and abused it. It held up wonderfully and took everything I threw at it. The new version is pretty darn nice. The craftsmanship was nice, and it locked up as tight as one could hope for. The only thing that bothered me was the fact that the cutting edge looked like it had been prepared by a high school shop class. Compared to other folders I have, the edge just seemed a bit rough. A few more minutes worth of work would have made a big difference. All other aspects were first rate. The only design change I would like to see is having a thumb stud on the blade for fast and easy opening. For a classic American Made knife, this is still hard to beat.

Leonard: Das perfekte Messer.

Dan: Bought this as a gift, but I have one myself. I like the blade length; not too long, not too short. Works well for all aspects of processing a harvested animal. The leather case is also well-made, and comes with a belt loop. I highly recommend this knife.
