Brondell GoSpa GS-70BLK Portable Travel Bidet for On-the-Go Hygiene

Photography Maven: This inexpensive portable "bidet" works well. I have taken it traveling and therein lies my only problem. Unless you dry the bottle out completely, the residual water in it will get out of the bottle as it is moved around in your bag or luggage and can leak out of the provided travel bag. A simple fix would be to provide a cap for the bottle to put on when carrying it for travel. My solution is to put it in a Ziploc bag. A simple cap would be a better solution. I'm trying out bottle caps from other, usually recycled, bottles I have to see if one fits. One feature that I find better than the powered ones. I have a much more expensive Toto - it also works well, but needs a battery and the stream of water from the Brondell can be made much stronger depending on how hard you squeeze it.

Spyderwind: I have some medical issues that make a bidet a necessity at home but didn’t want to mess with installing one in my travel trailer. This little thing did the job! My only complaint is that even with your finger over the vent hole on the bottom as instructed it still starts dribbling from the spray tip as soon as you start to turn it over so you need to make sure it’s already over the toilet before you flip it. Otherwise a well-designed and simple gadget that does the job. Would buy again.

Robert Salmon: I LOVE my permanent bidet at home and wasn't looking forward to doing without it, so I got this travel bidet as an experiment for a ten-day trip. I had no real expectations for it but it ended up working out very well! In some respects even better than my home bidet, as with this travel version I can aim a better angle on the target, and fill with whatever temperature water I want. The only tricky part is getting it into position without it leaking out the spout a bit, but just point it down there quickly and it will come with practice. Highly recommended.

Frank Weir: I'm really surprised by how well this cleans! Hate to admit it, but its more consistent, thorough, and cleans better than my battery-operated unit that cost six times more! Not exaggerating. To be honest, it cleans using less water than my installed electric bidet seat! I've never had to do a refill and second wash with it. But I sure love having a warmed toilet seat in winter here in Minnesota, LOL.

As other posters have suggested, and trying not to be vulgar, its essential to use your other hand to gently spread those cheeks. Makes all the difference in the world with hand-held bidets and quickly becomes automatic.

Yes, the bottom air intake valve leaks a bit but minor annoyance since it works so well and the price is very low. You can either set it on a wash cloth or inside a plastic bag if its a concern. I use my cloth bath mat.

This is perfect for travel. I hate being without my installed bidet when traveling. Can't say enough about bidets. Really are life changing. Horrible to think most people in America don't use them and are walking around pretty darned unclean AND with sore bottoms!!

Peter W: Needs a bit of practice aiming! The valve in the bottom leaks, someone recommended sealing it which I did, now it is much better.

JG: This is no replacement for a bidet connected to plumbing, but it works well enough as a temporary replacement while traveling.

Some things to be aware of: the bottle has an air release valve on the bottom that instructions say to place your finger over in order to stop water from coming out of the nozzle while you're getting it into position. The problem is that the bottle is so soft that it's hard not to squeeze it a little while you're flipping it, so you're likely to dribble a little water on the floor or toilet seat. I've found that keeping it mostly horizontal until you're right above the toilet is the best way to avoid this.

The water pressure when you squeeze the bottle is about what you'd expect which is to say fairly low. You may not get as clean of a wash as you'd like.

All of that said, I'll be taking this with me every time I travel. It definitely helps, though you might need to go back with toilet paper to get totally clean. If you're on the fence, spend the $12-$15 and try it out. When you're traveling and don't have access to a bidet, it's way better than nothing. It's not great, but it is good enough, so I'm mostly satisfied with the purchase.

Blair: The only reason I took a star off is because it leaks a tiny bit from the bottom — otherwise, I don’t think I’m gonna be able to live without it if I don’t have an actual attachment. Very good value, would recommend!

Angel R.: En mi casa por el tipo de instalación no es nada sencillo poner un Bidet convencional, comencé a usar este y cambió por completo mi higiene, la llenó cada noche para que por la mañana sea utilizado y la vuelvo a llenas para la siguiente vez que quiera usar el baño, no lo saco de casa porque prefiero aguantarme y llegar a utilizar esta maravilla, inténtelo.

jpf: Not so easy to align the wand correctly but with some perseverance, it gets the job done.
The bottle leaked a bit where the rivet is but it seems to have stopped now.
