Jennifer Stewart: This is an excellent second book about the ins and outs of the Broadway world. I read Razzle Dazzle: The Battle for Broadway last year and loved both of them equally. Razzle Dazzle is about the history of Broadway through the eyes of the men (and a few women) who built it. Singular Sensation is about the the Broadway comeback of the 1990s. There are so many insider stories and info that I couldn't stop reading. I remember Broadway in the 1990s and early 2000s and this book was a trip down memory lane. From Phantom, to Rent, to The Producers, everything is covered. I highly recommend this book!

Allessio77: I gave this book to my partner who is a Broadway maven and savant. He loved it...he loves all the books by this author. So, there is no higher praise available or needed. Get it if you love the Great White Way.

John Olson: Riedel gives a lot of good detail - much of it new, but even previously reported items are placed in context. Very fun and readable.

Tennis fan: Michael Riedel has long struck fear into the hearts of Broadway producers and performers with secrets or bad behavior they don’t want exposed, and he brings the same mischievous spirit to his book as he did to his newspaper column. There is also a lot of love for the magic of theater, particularly when it is transcendent, as it often is. Highly recommended for any Broadway or show business fan.

Kimonline: This is an absorbing collection of stories about Broadway theatre in the 1990s. Like Riedel's first book, Razzle Dazzle, this is a wonderful read that is hard to put down. I hope Mr Riedel has a third book planned.

Paul Caliendo: I read this after reading and thoroughly enjoying Riedel’s first book, Razzle Dazzle. I must say that this book is the perfect complement. Well written, informative and very, very entertaining.
