P. Buttercup: My dogs are wimps. We have some woods behind our house with *gasp* wildlife that seems to strike terror in the heart of our two vicious pit bull beastie rescues. So, we needed lighting back there to help them feel more comfortable going outside to relieve themselves before going to bed for the night. Frankly, it does a pretty good job. I still have to go out with them (cuz they’re still wimps) but at least I can see them much better than with our pitiful porch lighting prior to installing this light.

This is the second set of lights we’ve purchased (this is a newer model) but for a separate section of our house. We are really pleased with both the older and this newer model. They work well, are bright enough for our purposes and best of all, while not being overly expensive, they don’t add to our electric bill! If you have the solar panel facing the sun, you’re golden. The solar panel has a relatively long cord so you can attach it to a place that gets better lighting if you have to, but consider the specs of the lighting to make sure it will fit your purposes. I would definitely recommend for the price but even more so for the job that it does. It works as expected.

Ying C: My review is a little wordy, but it has a happy ending so if you’re considering the Glorious Lite, please read to the end.
I bought one of these to light an indoor stairway and the solar panel faced up into a skylight and the long 15ft. cable came in very handy without having to add extra wire to extend it.
The supplied batteries were charged using the solar panel for 3 days before use as the instructions mentioned. After a week, the motion sense started to become unreliable and I returned it to Amazon.
Fortunately, I read another buyers remarks about replacing the original batteries with better quality ones and he had no more problems, so I bought it again and this time purchased the Victagen charger and
2-battery bundle, also on Amazon here:

1 Year, Lights still preforming flawlessly. Absolutely replace the batteries with high quality rechargeable batteries and I can highly recommend the one I mentioned below. The light from these is a bright flood but not harsh, Just a good overall well balanced illumination of the area. I will buy these again along with new batteries...

I had already assumed what the problem was, so I had ordered High Quality batteries.
LG 3500mah 3.7v 18650's from Battery Junction (button top, Protected).
The batteries they come with are crap based on performance and price of light. The LG I bought were $24 for 4, I have 2 lights. plus $12 for shipping! OUCH!!!! but... They arrived today fully charged so I put them in and BLAM!!!!!
