Bright Safety LED Dog Collar – USB Rechargeable for Maximum Visibility

M. Fred: We got the green LED collar for our mostly-black dog for walks in the woods after dark. She is a beacon! If anything, it would be nice if there were a reduced-brightness mode (instead of just flash pattern modes), but in terms of safety this is an impressive collar and we bought one for our other dog. It's easy on/off, and would be great for any context where increased visibility would be useful. We used to use little clip on lights for her collar, but their visibility is limited by the direction she is facing, and they banged around on her chest. This is a far better solution.
No insight RE durability since it's relatively new to us, but we left it without charging for a month after we bought it before using it and the charge was still strong for an hour long walk. .

Karen: This dog collar is the best out of all the collars I have purchased. It is durable and connects with a clasp. This is important for other collars that do not have a clasp have fallen off. It has a ring to attach the leash. They are correct when they say the brightest. This is extremely important for I walk my dogs in the dark morning with no streetlights. Cars and people walking need to see us. Boy do they ever. I have had many great compliments regarding this collar. I love the colors especially the blue. They are easy to charge and tell you when they are done. Great price. Highly recommend!

Key points: 1) I needed it because I have poor balance outside in the dark so have to watch my little dog from inside when she goes out after dark. (She got out of the fenced yard one night and it took me an hour to find her so I had to do something and bought this). 2) It's the only light-up collar I could find to fit a 7 1/2 lb. chihuahua. 3) I slip it over her head and remove it after she comes back in. 4) I can see her in the darkest corner of the yard. 5) I have used it 4 months now, 5-10 min. a night and it has not yet had to be charged. 6) I am thankful to this company every night for this product.

LeahLeah: The sizing is definitely “interesting”…my dog that is 20 pounds less than the other wears the same size. If you tighten it down almost all the way, it does fit, just looks a little large on her. The buckle is very hard to snap together; it’s almost like if you don’t align it up perfectly, it doesn’t clip together. The green is nice and bright on a dark colored dog at night in the country. The pink doesn’t seem as bright in terms of me seeing the ground around the dog as she walks around…especially when out at the same time as the dog with the green color collar. It comes with the cord to charge it but you need a charging port to plug it into the wall and charge it. It has one button to turn it on/off. You hold it down and it turns on and stays solid in collar. You hit it again and the collar starts blinking its collar. You hold it down again (in either setting - solid or blinking setting) and it will turn off. Overall it was a good buy for the shorter days coming up and with darker color dogs.

J L: My male dog is between 75 and 80 pounds. I measured his neck just behind his ears as instructed, and it was a little over 19". I measured around the middle of his neck, and it was 22" with a generous fit so as not to be too tight. Some of the reviews I read said the size Medium was plenty big enough for a large dog and that the size Large size was far too large for most large dogs. I took those reviews to heart and ordered Size Medium, but what if it was wrong? I would have to wait an extra two days to get another collar, and I need one NOW, so I also ordered the size Large as well knowing I would return one or the other once I had the chance to try them on my dog.

Both collars arrived today. I can confirm what the other reviewers have said about the size Large. It is far too long for your average large dog like a Golden, a Labrador, a German Shepard, etc. The Large is more the length of a petite woman's belt than a collar. Yes, it can be adjusted, but the amount of nylon collar you will double back on itself is significant, and it just makes the collar look lopsided and bulky to have that much collar doubled back on itself.

Cal: Having a small dog (Yorkshire Terrier) doesn’t go without the disadvantages within poorly lit areas, as they can quickly become lost in plain sight. But, as the UK early dark autumn evenings have now arrived, this can soon happen. I take my little one to a large open field area, but he tends to dash in all directions to play, sniff or do his business. Without success, I’ve used the rechargeable cut to fit models before, but they generally don’t last well in terms of build quality and battery performance. So I scoured here on Amazon for a higher quality collar and came across this particular listing with 10k+ reviews and ranked 4/5.

* Effortlessly adjusted and operated with one button, hold down the button for 2/secs to turn on (steady glow as the default), click once to cycle through the other options and finally turn off.

* Bright (far better than those plastic cut to fit) and X3 settings to configure, I find the strobe option too intense, so I tend to avoid this option. The steady glow is probably most suited for most. And for that bit more visibility, the slow flashing mode. The fast strobe seems unnecessary.
