Donald Louch: I am in love with this Cold Brew maker! It makes strong Starbucks quality Cold Brew in like 15 minutes!

It's not too loud and is super easy to clean.

I have created a video on YouTube where I did brew the coffee which can be found at youtu . be / q7M6jnZV-CU

I do highly recommend this product for any of those #ColdBrewLovers like myself!

Cory A: One of the holes in the bottom of the carafe isn't sealed anymore so that when I take the carafe off of the base it leaks water or coffee all over the floor. Started 10 days after my return window closed. Disappointing as its a cool machine otherwise and made great cold brew.

DrZaeus: I drink cold brew for health reasons, and first purchased the Cuisniart cold brew maker. While it did make cold brew, it was extremely cloudy, so I went back online and purchased this one soon after. The Dash Rapid produces much cleaner brew. It's crystal clear, no cloudiness at all. I'm really happy with my decision.

Edit: Alright, so I think it's already reached its end of life, and for the dumbest reason ever. The coffee container is sealed shut.. and I mean SEALED. The vacuum is so intense that the container would sooner break than open.

The "pressure release valve" seems to do nothing at all. The two bottom liquid ports, for whatever reason have no effect either. I'm not happy.

Edit 2: I tried to go at it again. Unless you're a robot, a magician or just have regular old super human strength, avoid this thing. It just seals itself shut entirely during the brewing process. It absolutely will never open again. I've already pushed that cheap plastic garbage to its limit. It will 100% break before the lid comes off.

Avoid this piece of crap. It may make amazing cold brew.. once, maybe twice. Sadly the design is USELESS. The Cuisinart...

PJG: So far so good! It’s definitely an appliance with quirks, but it’s produced excellent results for me so far. Reading the directions is a must- and they are pretty clear. If anything is amiss in setup, you’ll likely end up with a mess. The carafe is nice but it does tend to drip a bit when pouring. Keep paper towels handy. Storing the resulting concentrate in the fridge, I did notice a few drops from the bottom of the carafe, but I cleaned it up, and more did not appear. I put a paper towel underneath and it’s stayed clean after the initial drips. I believe it’s just tiny amount of residual coffee from the brewing process. To negate this going forward, I purchased two 2 liter glass Ball jar carafes (from Amazon) and I’ll transfer the concentrate to those and simply clean up the whole machine after brewing. I ordered two of the carafes so I can brew decaf or a flavor in addition to regular. The brewing process leaves the grounds chamber fairly compacted and dry- so emptying the used grounds into the trash was a no-mess snap. The rest of the cleanup was a cinch- the top dishwasher rack for most parts and minor wipe up on the base.

Ken Earle: I make enough at one time to last me a day, which takes about one cup of ground coffee, 1250 ml water, and two 15-minute cycles. By varying the coffee and water amounts you can make mild through superstrong brew. Best grind for me is at the boundary between medium and coarse. Best coffee so far, Level Ground Columbia Dark Roast (and it's relatively cheap). Daily cleaning is very easy and works quite well. About once every month or two I will soak the filters in warm soapy water and then rinse with a steam cleaner. To loosen the big black cap if it binds up, get a cheap "persuader" for opening jars. I use a Mastercraft Boa Constrictor Strap Wrench, which is perhaps overkill. I tried a different fast cold brewer, but the filter clogged up too quickly. No complaints with the Dash so far, in fact I worry that I might be a bit too fond of what it produces.

Ben: I have been making cold brew for quite some time and I have used many methods. I purchased large jars and nut milk bags to use as a filter, then I tried the OXO Cold Brew machine, and then finally this. I used my Capresso Infinity grinder to grind to a course consistency for the first two methods, but used a medium grind on this Dash Cold Brew Machine.

Firstly, the large jar and nut milk filter bags did a great job with very little cleanup. The only issue I was having is a slight amount of sediment which was probably due to the grind.

Secondly, the OXO Cold Brew machine was good for the most part but it was overcome super quickly by coffee fines and I would have to use a spoon to manually move things around. Again, this was probably a result of the grind.

As for this Dash Cold Brew machine, it's great! I didn't have high hopes for the flavor with such a short extraction time but it does a pretty good job. I found some helpful reviews saying that they run it for the full 15 minutes and then run it for another 10-15 minutes again to get the best flavor. This is what I do and it works great (full 15 minutes, then another 10-15 minutes). If you...

DizzyDizzy: The good:
This makes delicious cold brew coffee. Its faster than regular cold brew. It's quite easy and it tastes great.

The Bad:
· I have to run it at least twice (at the full 15 minutes) to get strong flavorful coffee.
· I still have a small amount of dry grounds in the coffee chamber after brewing.
· It takes a lot of coffee (1.5c) to make coldbrew for 2 people. (Daily)
· it's a nightmare to clean as the water lines are inside, there's only so much you can do.
· it's sensitive. All lids have to be just so, both the carafe and the coffee chamber must be placed a certain way. Its kind of a pain in the @$$.

The Point:
Those qualities dont take away from the fact that it still makes delicious coldbrew coffee in 30-45 minutes (as opposed to 24-72 hours.) I take a few minutes and clean it out after each use and follow the instructions.
I really like it a lot and would recommend it to anyone who loves coldbrew.
I've managed to quit my daily dunkin habit and my mother is doing the same.

Craig L.Craig L.: I ordered this from Amazon months ago, excited about being able to make cold brew coffee quickly, having moved on from a Toddy cold brew coffee maker. For a few weeks, it worked wonderfully. The coffee was delicious. And then it happened.

One day the batch it made was really thin. I opened the coffee canister and it seemed like the grounds on the top was still dry, showing that the water never quite made it up there. There was a puddle of water right below the coffee maker. I cleaned it out, tried again and it worked fine. A few days later, it happened again. And again. I reached out to Dash and they replaced it under warranty.

A couple weeks ago I finally set up the replacement coffee maker, and it worked reliably... until today. Same deal as before, with really thin concentrate and dry coffee grounds. I've wasted so many 12oz bags of Gevalia coffee grounds on this nonsense throughout the last couple months.

To add insult to injury, I took apart the old one and found mold inside the plastic tubing (see pic), despite flushing it out after each batch. This is really disgusting. I don't think I can ever recommend this. I'm going back to the...
