Dhruv PatelDhruv Patel: If you want crystal clear water you definitely need to add in chemical media to your filtration! I run a Fluval FX4 canister on my 75G South American Cichlid tank and my water looks super clear (as seen by the photos). Compared to Seachem Purigen, CPB (Chemi-pure Blue) is a more all-in-one chemical media package. CPB removes Phosphates, stabilizes ph, supposedly also increases fish appetite? I haven't really noticed this but that will depend on their diet and how much they enjoy what you feed them and ingredients. And finally it makes the water crystal clear! I added in Purigen just to help out as I do have driftwood in my tank and it's really just that extra hand to help keep the water clean for a while until it's time to swap out the chemical media. I will rate value a 4/5 as it can be a bit pricey but the results are still incredible.
So good that even my biggest Electric Blue Acara named Bolt (right next to me holding the product) approves! as well as all the others!

K woods: Self contained easy to use/change out does a very good job of helping keep my reef parameters low. A little pricey but everything worthwhile seems to be anymore unfortunately.

Hunter: Works great at having your carbon and other media combined into one bag and be able to fit the smaller bags into very tight spaces of the '' all in one'' aquariums and the like. Clears up water well as activated carbon does and I haven't seen the dusty fines associated with some of the lower grade carbon for sale out there. (when you first rinse it out you will see the black stuff run off but this is just some of the ground up dust from shipping and manufacturing there will always be a little)

BLKDRGN: I totally forgot to soak my new driftwood and it was too late when I checked the next day. All the tannins leached out and I could barely see the fish. I did water changes for the next couple weeks but it barely helped. Once I put this in, the next day it was a little clearer. After a week, it was crystal clear. The white sand is now pure white. Works like magic.
