Silverback: Still works, not worth sending back but one of the bulb suction pieces was inside the bulb, not in the end like the other side. Like I said, still works, maybe not as efficiently as it should but not worth sending it back.

rmp: Best siphon I've ever used. I used plastic canvas mesh to add a baby shrimp guard over the existing guard, and I fit it into my generic python to drain water 20 feet away into the tub. The ball thing makes starting the suction so much easier than any other method. There are two rigid sections so it will be the correct size pretty much no matter what size your tank is. I also find the green color appealing. I ended up ordering a second one because I wanted to have one that just has the regular guard for my non-shrimp tanks, and then I use the special shrimp guard I made for my shrimp tanks. If you need really strong suction, like say for common pleco poops, I recommend removing the guard altogether. It has the best suction that way. But even with my extra fine guard, it vacuums up fine mulm easily.

Amazon Customer: My last vacuum didn’t allow me to get to the bottom of the gravel so it was nasty under there and along the sides. This one has crazy good suction and pulls sooo much from under the rock. My husband and I were amazed! 2 rounds and we pretty much got 3 years of ick cleaned up! I can not recommend this vacuum enough! We have a 36 gallon tank and I don’t even have to stick my arm in to reach the bottom with the long hose!

Nicole: This is a great little vacuum. It has good suction, leaves my sand in the tank and the flow is steady. I have a 90 gallon and 10 gallon tank. It drains the 10g quickly, so you have to vacuum quickly. I’m saving for a canister filter for my 90g, but in the meantime, this vacuum does the job it’s suppose to do. I’ve had if for 6 months and it’s still in perfect condition. The tubing was stiff and challenging to get on the wand part when I first got it, but the tubing has relaxed a lot. If I broke it, I’d buy another one.

Madison MaddoxMadison Maddox: I was skeptical since there are mixed reviews for this product. I am pleased with this purchase and it works very well. The instructions could be better but over all great product. When using you will want to be careful and not squeeze the spout too hard because it could damage. As long as you care for it, it should last a while. Also ensure you put it together properly because if you put it together wrong it will not suck the water out or your tank!

Adam: The “sand cleaning” attachment is useless. Its too short and doesnt take long for sand to hit up in the tube and into the bucket. The good old aquaone vacs with the long wide tube are better for this. I can see the benefit of the small end attachment for getting in harder to reach rock structures etc but im too impatient for the slower water rate so will go back to using a powerhead to blow the waste out of tight spots..
The pump and long vacuum stick are good for not getting your hands wet
