mark Olsen: My older ?10 years? set of Ryobi Black oxide drill bits have never been outstanding, but only let me down once when I foolishly tried to drill some holes in Stainless steel.
I wanted a better set to go forward. These are a nice upgrade.
They are priced right for what you get.
They could have doubled up on some of the more used sizes, but I'm happy with the set.
Drilling Armor Plate? you won't find that, at this price.
All around stuff, and the occasional spring steel, oe stainless? These will do the job

J. Estes: While using 3-in-1 oil as a lubricant, I savaged 3 each 3/8" drill bits in an futile attempt to drill 6 holes through 1/2" hardened steel. After doing some research I purchased a single 3/8" Bosch 8% Cobalt M42 Metal Drill Bit over Amazon for the job. To my surprise, the bit easily cut through the hardened steel without overheating. From now on, I will only purchase Bosch 8% Cobalt M42 Metal Drill Bits for my metal drilling needs.

Lori: Didn't use it for stainless, but it was able to drill out multiple holes on 3/16 steel without a problem. Had 3/16 holes drilled out first, as don't just try to drill out a large hole without having a smaller pilot hole. Went larger than 1/2, but this appears to be a good bit. Holes were clean.

Kevin Leibel: I used these bits to drill pilot holes when I changed the deck on my sled trailer. Bit did very good when you did not turn rpm to high on the drill. Also worked a bit better when oil was used when cutting into the steel angle iron and square tubing. Would buy again if needed.

KMcKMc: Made drilling into hardened metal less time consuming.
Higher Cobalt content should make them more durable.
Had to use my drill INDEX to find a particular size,
as the drill holder organizer does not have any size markings.
