Neil G.Neil G.: I'm sure the drill bit is great. Would have been greater if the packaging didn't look like it was opened. Possibly some one bought it and returned it after opening. For the same price, I could have just purchased it brand new at my local home hardware centre.

RC: Solid option, first one broke and replaced with this one for the job at hand fabricating car parts on a frame Works well but could be a little sharper with cutting power on heavier steel.

Vas: Good drill bit, perfect for my application. It's a small diameter bit so I cannot comment on its durability. So far so good.

Cohoman: I bought this long drill bit to drill into a facia board at my home to verify the location of a hole in my attic. It worked great for that purpose. Note, that only the first few inches of the bit has the cutter and the rest of the bit is just shaft. Because it has such a small shaft diameter, it can bend the bit if you're forcing it at an angle. In all, a good product for a good price.

John Tignor: I wanted to do some electrical work that would have me drill through six inches of material. This bit made short work of it, giving me a pilot hole to drill out from both sides for the wire.

Since I am a weekend handyman the quick delivery allowed me to schedule with the weather.

Leon Kowalski: This Bosch Drill bit is fantastic quality. at 1/8th" thick, I was hoping it would be very rigid and it is. I can now drill guitar wiring routes with confidence that the bit will not deviate.

MacMoose: I needed to drill a hole to run a wire from a lower kitchen cabinet to the basement, but I don't have any other bits that are long enough. I was ready to head over to Home Depot to buy something like this, and then thought "wait- I have Prime." I checked on here, and found this super-long drill bit for under four bucks. I was then able to procrastinate on that project, which I was happy about.

I successfully drilled that hole, and this drill bit did not have any problems.

I have no idea how this compares to other, similar drill bits, but it was one of the cheapest options. Also, I have been buying only Bosch wiper blades for the cars for several years now, and I firmly believe that they are significantly better than others I've used (Anco maybe?). Not that automotive wiper blades are relavent here, but I have some faith in the integrity of Bosch products based on their wiper blades.

I suspect that this drill bit will have years- maybe even decades- of infrequent use. Also, I'm totally prepared if anyone ever asks "hey- do you have a really long drill bit that I can borrow?"
