Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: Update March 29.2023: I was able to contact the seller directly and had immediate response. They are sending out a new lid! I did have to complete a form and include model#, model date (located on the bottom of unit), original receipt, purchased from and include photos.
I am extremely impressed with how this was handled and response time. Customer service was spot on! I would definitely recommend this unit.
March 29.2023: I purchased this as a house warming gift. Great simple coffee maker with a hot pot of fresh brew within 7mins! Simple minimal design with a couple flaws.
1) make sure to pour over the sink this does leak.
2) the lid push lever broke after 6 months.
Would I recommend this product...Yes, several reasons.
It makes a fresh brew (no bitters) within 7mins. I have read comments regarding flavor of coffee I suspect they are not using fresh (whole bean) grind at home.
I like the carafe. I like the simple design with one push button on/off design.
This all being said after the hefty price tag I feel the lid design and leaky pour should definitely NOT be happening.
I have had other pricey models with heated reservoir and 6...

Royboy: Let me start by saying I love Bonavita. I got my first one 8+ years ago, after hearing and reading about them, and how highly rated they were. I ordered a BV1800 and was very impressed. Mr. Coffee went to the storage closet to await emergency use. Well, after 8 years, the Bonavita carafe somehow developed a crack in the glass despite how careful I always was with it. Shortly after, the carafe actually lost a big chunk of the rim and even though various BV1800-owners commented on the internet that their choice of glass replacement carafe worked for them, I ordered and returned several that did not fit. And since the unit is out of production, I couldn't just order another BV1800.
So that's how I ended up ordering the Bonavita Connoisseur 8 cup One Touch, after much research. My immediate reaction was to appreciate the looks of the coffeemaker. It looks really snazzy, though taking up a bigger portion of countertop real estate than the BV1800. It makes really good coffee, just like the other one, and delivers a piping hot brew in short order. But there are significant differences, some good and some bad.
First off, the Connoisseur does not have a heat plate to keep...

Lauren Sharp: We bought this to replace an old mr. Coffee machine that broke. We decided to buy something a bit more expensive and would be more flavourful. After a lot of research and review reading, we settled on this one. While it’s not as strong as a true pour over, it’s quite delicious. We are not coffee snobs, but do enjoy a great tasting cup of coffee. For us it’s great, and brews fast for when we are on the go. It also pours water evenly over the whole filter, which is great! It is easy to clean and minimal mess! I high recommend this coffee maker if you really love coffee, are not a total coffee snob and just want something delicious and simple!

Ryan Sieber: Checked the reviews and had personal recommendation for this coffee maker but it went back. It did not make superior coffee. I'm coming from a 10 year Braun coffee maker, a french press and more recently an Aeropress. I don't see anything special about this maker. Yes there are 8 water spouts that drizzle (or predrizzle) your coffee with the correct certified temperature water (which I verified with a thermocouple). The problem is the large metal vacuum insulated craft immediately sucks the heat out of your joe. I guess it might help to immediate put the lid on the craft when it's done brewing, you can't brew with the lid on, now where did I leave the lid?. Some suggested preheating the craft but I guess for $200 I excepted hotter coffee. Is there anyone who would drink a lukewarm cup of coffee after it sat in the craft for an hour?
Like every other coffee maker out there you have to fill the water tank, I've always used the craft to transport the cold water from the sink. Try pouring water into the coffee machine without the craft lid on.... no go ahead I'll wait..... how much ended up in the tank vs your counter? yeah, though so.
It fits well under your cupboards...

RecordGeek: I am a pretty serious coffee snob - I have a lot of coffee making apparatus (pour over, chemex) and an elaborate espresso machine setup, as well as multiple grinders. I never thought I would actually own an automatic coffee machine but when it came time to buy one I asked my coffee geek friends and they consistently recommended the Bonavita as one of the top choices. It was also the most affordable among the choices they recommended (the others being the Technivorm Moccamaster, the Ratio Eight, Ratio Six, and various others). That said it costs more than many other mainstream brand coffee makers.
But here's the thing - this machine works like a charm, and it does exactly what a good coffee maker should. It heats the water up to the right temperature, pre-infuses (if you turn that mode on which I do), and evenly distributes the water to saturate the coffee grounds, and extract a delicious pot of coffee. It's quick, easy, and makes consistently flavorful coffee.
The thermal carafe keeps the coffee hot for a long time, I've had no issues with that at all - but as others have pointed out you do need to put the lid on right after the pot is done brewing because you cannot...

Michel Houle: This product produces great coffee is very quick at brewing 8 cups. My only complaint is that you cannot have the lid on the carafe when brewing, so it loses a lot of heat by the time it's done brewing 8 cups. There is also no heating plate to keep the coffee warm after brewing. Although the carafe is stainless steel and even if you put the lid on the carafe immediately after the machine is done brewing, it is not a well insulated carafe and loses its heat very quickly. I guess I could transfer the coffee into another carafe after brewing, but you would think that based on the price of this machine, the company would do a better job at making sure your coffee stays warm after brewing.

Dan: Coffemaker worked fine for just over a year. Brewing 2 or 3 pots a day/7 days a week. Ran descaler through it regularly. Then it stopped. Bonavita was zero help. Insisting it was a problem caused by scale. (I took it apart, that wasnt the problem). While offering no real help, Bonavita also made it clear the coffemaker as no longer covered by warranty -- eventhough it broke just a couple weeks after the warranty expired.
