D. Sohl: We have a room with plenty of outlets, but none are controlled by switch. So, found this gadget which has 3 plug-in's and one control (perfect, as I want to control 3 lamps). It was as easy as plugging the modules into the outlets, plugging the lamps into the modules, and pressing the on/off buttons on the remote. Two things to note: 1) the remote needs a special battery [A21/23 12V] (that is not included), and 2) the modules that plug into the wall, if plugged into the top outlet, don't block the bottom outlet.

Alex: Works really well. Will be perfect for the Christmas tree in December, but we also use it for a lamp that normally requires turning a knob 3 times.

Kindle Customer: But then I came across this more modern take on the idea. We got the three-pack: One's on our bedroom lamp, one's on a living room lamp, and we've yet to use the third. One thing I didn't realize is the remote powers the devices on and off even when you're not in the room. So, you don't have to fish around, pointing it here and there to activate a sensor. Hit the button anywhere in the house and you're golden!

EthanJ: Every morning and every night, and when ever I left my apartment, I would have to walk around and turn off my table and floor lamps. Now, it's a quick 1 2 3 buttons to turn off and on all 3 of my lamps. So easy.
Highly recommend. It does use a different battery size than what you might typically have around the house, but you can buy one at any grocery store.

J. Stevenson: I use this to control an outlet under the kitchen sink. Yes I could control it with the breaker switch in the control box in the hallway but that also controls the dishwasher which is on the same circuit but a different outlet. The outlet I control is for a water heater under the kitchen sink. The "instant hot water" is nice but when it is not needed the heater is a power hog, keeping the water hot. So in the afternoon or evening I can turn the power off with the remote control and it is not using power all night long. In the morning, turn it on again and the water is hot when it is needed.
The remote control has good range and able to do its thing through the kitchen counter.
I got the 3-pack and have two more switches as spares or for other outlets that I want to control without shutting off the entire circuit but want a more convenient control. Also, I could have gotten the type of switch that is controlled by the whole-house voice-control robat but I didn't need that. Also, I got 3 for about the same price as one of the other.
Another review mentioned the seventh button which doesn't seem to have a purpose and is not mentioned in the instructions. I think it is so...

J’avais déjà acheté des prises de courant avec télécommande de type Wifi que je devais actionner avec mon cellulaire… la configuration du réseau?!!?…. Le délai d’attente pour que les prises reconnaissent mon cellulaire… perte de courant…. Je devais tous recommencer?!??! ….lorsque j’ai reçu ma commande d’Amazon , et bien j’ai mis la batterie dans la télécommande ensuite j’ai branché les prises et voilà tout fonctionne parfaitement WoW . Je vous le recommande fortement pendant que ça existe encore car elle devienne difficile à trouvé.

Andrew: Got the 3 pack with one remote. Main gripe I have is with the remote and the stupid battery it takes. 12v/A23 is an oddddd battery type and is not exactly stocked everywhere. Amazon does sell them in 4pk form but I am hoping I dont need to replace it that fast. The units are stiff right off the bat i actually used them on each other putting them together and taking them apart which did loosen them up enough to use easilly. Paired out of the box used 1 for the xmas tree and the other for room xmas lights and this does make it alot easier then fumbling threw the tree to unplug the lights.

The 3% of 1 star reviews seem to be mainly defective units, duds, or honestly what seemed like user error in alot of cases. These are cheap and like every China item like this don't take the label at face value always assume its half as good as it claims. Says 1250w with 10amp capability which I doubt, but 3-5amp at 500watts or less is probably ok.... But still a cheap item and if you want to run a freaking microwave pay more for a good one.

Tested tonight with the tree and lights for over 5 hours and the boxes were cold so for my needs they will be fine. Irony to all this was I got a...
