UPDATE 6/1/22 - Lately, the amount of food in the can has varied. Sometimes it is very watery, but what concerns me is the sudden appearance of these dark red or brown specs in the food. It is in every can, and there is no mention on the product packaging of any formula changes. But they are clearly adding something and I'd like to know what my kitties are ingesting. They still eat the full can, but still!
UPDATE 4/9/22 - Product consistency has improved. Cans are now all silver aluminum and product is packaged better, no sticking to the insides of the can. Not sure if they were aware of this and fixed it, but thank you!
This product is the new, re-designed Healthy Gourmet by Blue. It was the only food my cats actually ate without tossing a lot of it away. It had the right amount of moisture, flaked food and taste. Today, Blue has produced a fancier can, with its' lovely cobalt blue pop top and can, with re-designed labeling. The problem is that even though the food was initially identical to Healthy Gourmet, the price went up (must be for the cobalt blue dye), and the quality of the food between cans is inconsistent.
