Amazon Customer: For the price this isn't bad, but the tubes fit together rather loosely and there's noticeable wobble unless you modify it (i added a few wraps of electrical tape to the insertion tube until it friction fit. Reduced wobble about 75%).
Also the stabilizers/feet on the bottom do not screw down all the way tight. I tried screwing them until they would no longer move easily, and it pulled the press-fit nuts out of the feet (akin to stripping the nut) so now they're forever loose unless I think up some other modification. Lol.
But I got a used one for $40, so can't complain really. 4 stars.

Kyle CooperKyle Cooper: It looks like a quality, heavy duty frame. The foamfor the grips is a good texture. Unfortunately, one of the grips has a pretty large tear in it, revealed after I removed the bubble wrap.

mark: Bought this for my home gym. I have been using it almost daily for a month. Good construction and simple to assemble at a great price compared to other brands.

Babadook: Pretty good. Solid, good design. Only two things I think weaken the evaluation of either the product design or the production: 1) This is a fixed design so if you want to adjust the width of the bars then this design is not for you. I am about 6ft with a swimmer's build and it works fine, but is a little wide. If I were smaller I think it might be limiting. 2) The molded plastic feet are pretty cheap and the threaded inserts on them were imprecisely inserted or machined so I was not able to fasten one of them properly. I'm not sure that they actually added any stability so I have simply removed them. However I'm about 1000 dips in and these bars are rock solid. So, not the best product on the market, but a good value and not bad at all. You should be happy as long as you are aware what you're buying.

Richard F.Richard F.: Bought this because a friend had the same one and I loved it.

I received it fast enough, but one of the grips was torn. Immediately contacted Black Mountain Products through their support e-mail and they replied that they would send a replacement handle piece (once I receive it I will re-evaluate this review score).

With that out of that way, I started assembling it, and soon noticed that one of the holes for the bolts was missing, so I had to drill my own. I've also managed to break one of the feet while screwing it, unfortunately, as they seem to be slightly too small to fully cover the metal base. Overall, it was a frustrating assembly experience.

Now that it's assembled, it's pretty much the same as what my friend has. Quite sturdy, versatile for many different exercises, and doesn't take up too much space.

Travis: This is a pretty solid bar. Putting it together was pretty easy. There are four hollow bars that are held in place by four bolts. Once assembled it does seem to be a pretty sturdy bar, however the holes drilled into the bars for the bolts didn't all line up perfectly and weren't all cleanly cut. This meant that some of the bolts slid right into place while some of them had to be forced through the pre-drilled holes. The dip stand also comes with four blocks that can be placed on the bottom bars for stability. I have not used those support blocks. The stand seems to be sturdy and balanced enough just resting on the floor itself.

In terms of functionality, the bar is pretty good. It doesn't wobble any. The pads where your hands hold your weight up are very comfortable and appear durable (although I haven't had the stand long enough to attest to this). Once assembled, my only complaint is the same as many others that I've seen: the stand would be better if the bars you dip between were closer together. They are pretty wide. I like to keep my hands pretty close to my sides with my elbows tucked when I dip, but I can't do so with the bar. I am a pretty average build (5'10", 160...

Jono: It's pretty solid after you tighten it an insane amount. Haha. It's a tiny bit warped, but it's not a big deal. Works perfect for what I was hoping to use it for.

The only problem is that it was shipped in a box that the corners got destroyed and the plastic bag with all the screws was open and I had to collect them all in the grooves of the box, but luckily all of the pieces were accounted for (with extras). They could improve on that. That's my only recommendation for the manufacturer.

Anonymoose: UPDATE: After only only a handful of uses, the bar seems to be getting less and less sturdy. One side wobbles while dipping. This may be my own fault, but it seems as though the squared whole for one of the bolts has stripped. for lack of a better term. causing it to lose hold on the bar. That bolt can neither be tightened or loosened now.

Good sturdy product but there were some issues.
Just an FYI, I'm about 5'11" and around 200lb.

First of all, the bar shipped in a grossly over-sized box. I'm talking tall enough and almost enough volume to fit the thing fully assembled inside of it. When ordering I was wondering why the standard shipping costs $37. That's probably why.

Second. While assemblind it was easy. like many others my unit came without any screws/bolts. I had to contact blackmountainproducts and wait a week for them to ship from the US. That said they did get back to me quickly.

Finally, while the product is sturdy and will certainly work for its intended purpose. The padded grips were already slightly torn on arrival. And I seriously doubt this thing could support 3000lb. Can't imagine how they even tested that.

But anyways assuming...

Devin: I've been using this for a couple weeks now. At first it didn't seem like the screw holes were aligned to assemble the station. But it eventually went through just fine with someone else applying a little bit of pressure to twist the bar in place for the screw holes to align while I put in the screws. Put the screws one in at a time, then apply the pressure to the bars for the remaining screws if necessary. A lot of pressure isn't necessary. One of the screw caps needed a wrench to tighten all the way. I might have bent the thread out of place before I learned to twist the bars instead of shove the screws. The packaging was very well done.

I bought it to do dips when I found out dips are a great exercise to workout the lower chest since push ups only workout the upper chest. Dips are also a great way to workout all of the tricep muscles, so a dip station like this is a must have. I checked with customer service to see if it's really rated for 3,000 pounds instead of 300 pounds, and the representative said yes, it is 3,000 pounds. The other dip stations I looked at only rated up to about 250 pounds. So this dip station is about 10 times more durable than some others...
