Amazon fan: I used the poles during hiking under very slippery and icy ground conditions. They are light and very usefull. Easy to fold and unfold.

RobinB: I wouldn’t hike without my poles! They give me extra stability and have saved me from several slips that could have resulted in a fall.

Frank: A month ago my knees gave up after 3 KM of grade-4 (5 is most difficult) mountain track to the mountain top, which was very cold. They always did so when they felt tired and cold at the same time. I had to cut a small tree using it as a walking stick, otherwise I would have called rescue. With that stick I came down with little difficulty. That was when I realised how useful a walking stick is to alleviate the stress in the knees.
This product comes with two identical poles. They are so light that they felt like nothing, yet they are strong and I could lean on it as much as my arm can support. I also got a pair of knee protection braces that holds my knee parts together, keeps them walm, and provide a bit of support with the springs.
With these two aides, I walked 13 KMs including 8 KMs of up and down slopes two days ago. I used the poles to share my body weight as much as possible on every step, especially when going up or down a slope. My knees never felt a thing. My arms ended up sore.

Livfoss: These poles seem almost miraculously light. The fold up very small (small enough to go in a day sack for example) and can be deployed very rapidly. They seems very strong to me (I weigh close to 90 kg and they helped me on a lot of rocky ground while hill walking without any feeling of weakness or bending). The main thing which may give a purchaser pause (apart from the cost!) is that one can't alter the length. I am used to changing the length according to the terrain, for example while descending a steep slope, and there are no adjustments at all. I got used to that pretty quickly in fact. But be careful which length you choose to buy, and don't expect to lend your poles to someone very different in height.
Other points: they have metal ferrules that can be replaced (you get a spare pair in the pack) but so far i haven't found any rubber tips for silencing them on tarmac etc - perhaps they exist but are not obviously on offer; the other thing is, don't stick them in your day sack and then expect to take them on an aircraft, at least not in Europe! Mine were confiscated at Stansted airport on one trip, and I had to pay to retrieve them on the way back. The security staff...
