Pork Chop: I regret buying this item, but cannot return due to return window and package thrown out.

I finally replaced with (despite new ) with a version 2.0 of Hampton Beach grinder at Wal-Mart for half price of
this items, that has essentials features lacking in this B&D that make all the difference:

1) the automatic timer, and also
2) the grain size button (large, medium, small)
3) more convenient coffee powder capsule and more robust.

With the other item, NOT B & D one sets the dial, presses it, and it the grinder stops automatically after x seconds, to get the desired grinding level

With B&D ...at present, it is gone, and the user has to count the seconds, 15 or 25 or 35 for the grinding fineness
and it just doesn't seem capable to getting a very fine grind here. Should be selling for $20 at most.

jesus a.: Muele bien, no tarda ni se calienta demasiado para el molido fino. La mica no se ha opacado después de 8 meses de uso. Luce sólido y resistente, al parecer lo es, sin embargo el mecanismo para accionar el motor se encuentra en una ceja que sobresale de la tapa, por lo que representa un riesgo de romperse. Desde el primer uso supe que ese punto sería su lado frágil

Alix D.: I had an older version of this for years, but ended up giving it to a friend who really needed one. I figured I could just buy a new one online, so I bought a different replacement brand that "looked" great, but it did not work well at all! Plus, it smelled like burning plastic everytime the motor was running! I returned it, and purchased this one again, and I am so happy I did. This one is great for coffee...it has always worked perfectly, and has a great size & shape. When it comes to coffee grinders, go with a trusted brand! These guys do it right, and have done it right for years. I should never have tried to switch brands...these guys know what they're doing! HIGHLY recommended!

schmic: We joke in our family that making coffee for me is biblical..... "HE-Brews" Anyhow, I may not require a lot of make up, fancy cars, and expensive things to make me feel loved. However, for the protection of my children and our community, my husband makes coffee for me EVERY SINGLE DAY. So, when our daughter got a job at Starbucks and something was not labled or coded correcly (whatever... I don't remember.... ) she ended up bringing home whole bean coffee. We weren't prepared for the challenge. As a true Amazon Prime Member, I orderded enough items to ensure next day shipping and to my husband's delight, he had a new tool from.... "Black and Decker"!!! How perfect can that get. Quiet? Sure it must be, as I'm ASLEEP!! It hasen't awaken me. BUT I can attest to an excellent grind that releases the flavors more intensely than I had fathomed. May never go back to that pre-grinded stuff!! Yum and a happy husband who spoils me every morning!!

Gina CentralGina Central: This works great. I don't drink a ton of coffee just one cup in the morning. But like to grind my own beans. I will grind enough for a week in no time with this little grinder. I kind of shake it as I am grinding the beans. I fill it up to the top of the black cup. Then grind away. If i do that twice that's plenty for one week of coffee for me. You can go as fine as you like. I have a kureig so I dont go super fine just kind of a medium grind. Works great no complaints.

smi: Fabulous! Bought this to grind flax seeds fto add to our smoothies or cereal. This can turn them into a fine powder, no clogging or anything, as the grinding is all done in the top where you put the seeds. I expected this not to work, as not one of my small food processors, no matter how fast it was or how many blades it had, would grind flax seeds even a tiny bit. This completely grinds them into a flour texture in about 15 seconds and chops them pretty fine even in about 3 seconds! Amazing... I highly recommend it. Treat the lid carefully, as it looks delicate and is the "key" to turning on the motor. We have had this one for only two weeks, but I have used it at least once per day. Well worth the investment...
