Pr1meSurfer: Purchased in August 2022. Bulb died in May 2023. Effective until the bulb died. Easy enough to clean. Changing the bulb a little difficult as removal isn't the easiest thing to do.

Distortionwarrior: I live in San Diego. The last 5 or so years there have been a lot more flies, mosquitoes, fruit flies, and general little bugs. So many that I want a bug zapper. This bug zapper was allowed to be on for nearly 2 months, zapped one moth, did nothing to the flies, gnats, fruit flies, mosquitos. they just flew around as normal. This bug zapper just does not work.

rodrigo arturo castro villagranrodrigo arturo castro villagran: El producto creo que cumple a medias, lo puse en un lugar completamente cerrado y con muchos bichos y lo de la foto es todo lo que mató en 2 noches de uso, no se si mi producto esta defectuoso o funciona asi normalmente, ya que no mata al instante a los insectos, se quedan pegados al metal recibiendo electricidad pero se ve como siguen moviendo las patas tratando de despegarse, al final los mata por el tiempo de exposición a la electricidad pero tarda bastante, no los mata al instante como otros productos que se oye el choque electrico al toque, incluso las raquetas de baterias matan al toque, igual varios insectos al abrir la tapa de deposito salieron volando ya que solo los aturdio y cayeron al deposito pero luego se recuperaron y se fueron volando. También no resultaba muy luminoso no se si eso afecta a su desempeño también ya que capturó pocos insectos de acuerdo a la cantidad que habían en el lugar cerrado y con el aparato siendo la unica fuente de luz. Al final terminé usando insecticida. Sirve bien como un apoyo pero no como esperaría.

The OG ElfThe OG Elf: There's nothing worse than relaxing on the patio and getting eaten up by bugs. I hate spraying insecticides with kids and pets around, so this is the best alternative. I've already got the larger unit with the 2 acre coverage in my backyard, but wanted something for my front porch covered balcony. I didn't need another large unit, so after a little research I decided that this little unit would be plenty for the area I needed. I wasn't sure if a smaller unit would be as effective as the large one, but I'm very impressed with the efficiency. As soon as you turn it on, it starts eliminating the little nusainances. I love the sleek and stylish look of it. It blends right in and doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. Just like all of the Black + Decker products I have, this is made with high quality materials and is a well manufactured device. It's much more effective than a fly swatter and the price is affordable! I highly recommend this zapper and all of the zappers that Black + Decker makes.

YuenX: In short, it kills many mosquitoes and flies very well in the dark. When it is sunny outside, however, it does not work as well.

PROS
- Kills mosquitoes, moths, and flies in the evening
- Some killed bugs actually fall off
- You can hear when a bug is zapped
- Usable indoor and outdoor
-- WARNING: Plug is NOT nor has ALCI circuit breaking protection against electric shock

CONS
- Not effective during sunny days as the bugs may not necessarily be able to see the blue glow
- Can be a bit of a pain to clean the zapper from dead bugs with a small brush. Be sure to unplug from the power source so you don't electrocute yourself
- Plug is NOT nor has ALCI circuit breaking protection against electric shock
-- NOTE: description states it can be used outdoor, but without a waterproof rating or ALCI plug, I'd be very cautious to use it outside, particularly if it rains. Regardless, make sure you plug this into a GFCI outlet!
- Being able to hear a bug being zapped can be uncomfortable for some people
