This worked great for about 2 years. A couple days after the 2-year limited warranty expires the thing stops working. Now i gotta get something new.

I had a gnat infestation in my garbage bin and decided to try this thing out despite the many bad reviews because I have had a generally good experience with other Black+Decker products. Turns out the reviews were right. I've had it plugged in for 3 days and my kill count is still 0 despite the gnats flying all around the trap and my houseplants that I placed it next to. They're attracted to other sources of light (like my computer screen) but for whatever reason, even when this lantern is the only light source in the apartment, they still stay away from it.
I've gotten much better results just by removing any potential food sources for the bugs. The lantern is being sent right back to Amazon.

I gave it 4 stars because the cleaning brush that is supposed to be included was most definitely not included. The box itself looks like it was opened before but other than that it looks to be working good so far. Easy to connect and love the long chain its very efficient however the very short cord is a disappointment because i had to hang it so low which is concerning because i have small children. But all in all pretty good but maybe not for the price.

This is a good quality small sized bug zapper.
The size is perfect for what I need it for.
Near the fruit basket.. Worked out terrifically. The gnats are completely gone
Also We live in a heavily wooded area.. the mosquitos here are huge and don’t disappear until late October.
This little machine attracts them and zaps them dead- everytime!!
it works great for your personal space.
The compact size of the unit makes it easy to store and place out of site.
It’s also easy to clean and The frame of the unit is durable,
I am very pleased with it!
