Black + Decker BPWM09W Portable Washing Machine

Ruth: I didn't expect this to be as great as it is. Honestly, I was hoping for a little washer that would reduce the need to go to the Laundromat, not eliminate it entirely! The only thing I haven't washed in this are my comforter and floor mats. But sheets, towels, clothing, everything else I've put in this and it's been incredible. It probably COULD do my floor mats, I just haven't tried. I'm so impressed with this little machine and run it a few times a week, easy. I like the options for soak and spin cycles and how user-friendly it is. It also doesn't require a lot of soap (seriously, use half as much soap as you think you should or you'll need another rinse to get it all out) which is nice. So far it's been very durable but we've only owned it a few months so time will tell but I've put it through a lot already and it's still working and looking like new. I would highly recommend this for anyone who wants a smaller profile washer, or needs one that can move around easily. This is perfect.

Coagula et Salve 93: I've been using it for about 6 months now. I do laundry every other day or so... smaller loads, maybe 2-3 men's collared shirts, or 2 pr Dockers, and similar. I have it on a rolling stand in my kitchen, connecting the inflow pipe to my sink faucet, and tying the plastic drain pipe to the sink drain (to keep it from flopping around when it's pumping water out). I have not had too much trouble with lint... I try to clean the lint trap every other load or so, and if I see lint in the machine I can wipe it down with a sponge. It's a serious machine, not a toy. Well worth what I paid for it. No having my clothes smell like other people's gross overly-scented laundry products!!

whitemage: Does the job. Needed to buy a plumbing fitting to plug to the water supply.

Need to do small loads but it works good.
Purchased a caddy with it, makes the moving around very easy.

The washer is silent and does not shake when put level.

Joey T: This thing has been a LIFE SAVER. I bought the dryer washer combo, and althought its a tad smaller than I thought it's great! No longer will I be sharing washers with fowl smelling neighbors who own three large dogs and dont shower! In all seriousness, this thing has paid for itself 3x over. Only grip is normal setting on L3 is like 90 minutes? What in the the? And Heavy setting on L3 is 63 mins? Explain this to me?? I always do L3 heavy otherwise there is never enough water unless you literally wash like three shirts. My advice would be get the biggest size so you can do your bedding as well, mine is too small to wash any real comforter or sizable blankets, so they still get done in the gross communal washer :( I've had it for about 4 months now and it's still going strong. I always use cold water, sometimes luke warm if its a real nasty load or something. Hookup was easy since I have a dual sink set up from the 70s in my apartment lol. Also use a filter for your drain so you dont clog your sewage.

Cherrelle: I wanted to upload a video of me, unpackaging the washer machine. I can say the delivery was done well & I had no dents and I am pleased with Amazon delivery services. To be honest, this washing machine is basically a starter kit, I kind of wish I got the bigger one, but I am still pleased with it. When looking at the reviews I just wanted to honestly know how many items can fit in it since it was the smaller version of the Black & decker machine. I work at a hospital and of course we wear scrubs, so washing is very vital to me because I have to wash my scrubs very often. I am 5’9, and my scrubs are a size large top and bottom. I was able to fit in 4 scrub jogger pants, 3 scrub tops, and two scrub jackets with 1 undershirt & 3 underwear & 2 bras. So a total of 15 items. I would say fill to your own capacity, I had no problem with the items that I put in because they weren’t denim and they were soft clothing. It washed excellent, spins great, and rinsed wonderfully! And the items were super dry when they came out and not wet and soggy. I have carpet in my unit so I would recommend a dolly. I thought that I wouldn’t need it but I really do because I have carpet...

Pam Baile: i love the convenience, and for the most part, it does a good job. The cycles spend a lot of time on "spin".
I would like to see longer "wash" and "rinse" cycles. It is easy to hook up !

Mr. G: The B&D portable washer is like the larger washers, but smaller! Great for those with not much to wash.
While it does have a few issues, it does the job quite well as long as you do not overload it to the point the clothes don't swirl around in the water when its running. So the less you put in it, the better it washes.
Here are what I Like and Dislike about this little washer.

I like:
Doesn't take up a lot of space!
Does everything automatically like a full sized washer does.
Doesn't have a separate spin drying drum like other portable washers.
Clear door so you can see your unmentionables being washed.
Easy to clean lint trap.
You can set the load size number of times it will fill and rinse.
Comes with almost every adapter you need to hook it up to a standard sink faucet.

I dislike:
The power cord is only 5ft 6inches long. Had to buy an extension cord.
The water hose to connect to faucet is short (4ft long).
The washer will self drain if the drain hose is placed in the tub. So you have to put in sink.
The washer only fills halfway even if I set it to Large load and only fills to top it set to Heavy+ Large.

Sandy: Mostly pleased with this washer, it cleans better than expected and is very easy to use. One improvement that could be made is the program cycle, You can set the wash time for upto 20 minutes however it pauses during that cycle, not sure why, if it's supposed to be washing?? Also the rinse cycle is very short, so it fills with the rinse water then 3 minutes later it's dumping it out, not sure why it's so short for rinsing. Pros are it does spin well so the clothes are not soaking when they come out which means less drying time.

EvelynEvelyn: This was definitely the best choice I made. This is not a very large machine, but it is ideal for apartments and places without installing a larger machine. It washes very well and its centrifuge is great, at the end of the wash the clothes are just damp, without much water. I almost gave up on the purchase because the seller has no information about the size and thickness of the faucet connector that comes with the machine and I didn't know if it would be easy to plug into my faucet. But yes, the connector fit on every faucet in the house. I took a tape measure and took a picture and put it on top of the connector that came with the machine. It's not that perfect, but I hope it helps other people who have the same question. The tape measure is in centimeters

Apenas la tengo por 3 días y ya la usé 7 veces. Eso sí, tardó casi un mes en enviarse (Amazon Internacional Standard) desde la fecha de compra. Aproximadamente 20 días. El envío sólo fue de 2 días.

Las medidas de profundidad contando la manguera de desagüe es de 48cm, la medida de ancho con espacios laterales recomendados es de 45cm y la altura es de 78cm.

Es decir, una ves que la abres y sacas de la caja, es muy bonita y da ternura por lo compacta. Pero esa es su ventaja.

Las cargas habituales que realice fueron de :
15 boxers talla M, o 5 a 7 playeras talla M o G, o 2 pantalones de mezclilla talla 32.

No la llenes a más de 3/4 de ropa seca.

Detergente se recomienda usar los que tienen el logo "he" high efficiency (alta eficiencia). En mi caso recomiendo el detergente mexicano "Newen" de venta también en Amazon. Ya que es biodegradable y concentrado (alcanza a lavar bien con una a tres cucharadas 10 a 30ml) en lugar de los detergentes comerciales que usas tapas de más de 100ml. Aún así en las instrucciones se recomienda usar la mitad de lo que dicen los envases.
