Black & Decker 12V 3.2Ah Lawn and Garden Battery (CST1200)

Amazon Customer: I have made a lot of purchases on Amazon over many years but this has to be the worst. As I always do , especially when using rechargeable batteries , I checked the initial charge when delivered then put on charger over-night to allow it to 'Fully ' charge , checked the battery again and read a reading not much better than the old battery ! Today I used my lawn mower to trim a side patch off the driveway . there is a small retaining wall running the length of it approximately 80 feet with a small strip of grass left-over of about 6 inches wide overall which the lawn mower couldn't reach. This piece of crap battery couldn't power the whipper snipper to the end of this thin grass strip . Are You kidding Me ? It's going back to the supplier because it's garbage and I would hope that in the future , AMAZON would be more stringent in the quality of the product suppliers using it's customer base. ALSO, this abomination showed up a WEEK LATE. SO much for Prime Delivery ! AND NOW to add insult to injury this supplier is telling me I HAVE To PAY for the RETURN postage. AMAZON, you're Burning Your Bridges here !!!!!

RL: Je suis quelque peu déçu du produit... après 10 minutes de coupe, la batterie n'a plus de charge...c'est peut- être normale car cette batterie est un vieux modèle, je n'y avais pas assez réfléchi. Si la compagnie a des recommandations à me faire, je suis prenant.

Stacy: My weed whacker worked for a minute or so and then died. I did my research and discovered that it was probably the battery. After watching a video on how to replace the battery, which was really easy, I decided to buy this replacement battery instead of buying a whole new weed whacker. This battery works great. I'm so glad I found it on Amazon and didn't have to go looking elsewhere for it.

Rob: This battery is designed to fit the Black and Decker CST1200 cordless trimmer. My neighbour was throwing his away and I happened to be in the market for a new one. Well, I like to fix things so I thought I'd take it and see what kind of trouble I could get into trying to fix it. New replacement battery at the hardware store was 4X the price than here on Amazon. Bought it, 10 minutes to open the case and install and then charged it up. WORKS FANTASTIC and holds the charge very well.

One less plastic item going to the dump this time around. Don;t forget to recycle your old battery too.

rotag84: Bought this in the fall of 2017. It gets used weekly from April through October. At this point I can only get a few minutes out of a charge. Don't recall how long the original battery lasted but probably a few seasons. So for the price I got some extended life out of the trimmer which still works fine but at this point, time for a new trimmer that uses a more modern battery.

TranquilOne: Wasnt sure if i got the right battery for my trimmer but this was compatible. Was very easy to install and a great value for the price. Resulted in major improvement with operating time with my trimmer with this new battery. The price was way less than i thought id have to spend and saved me from the trouble of having to buy a whole new trimmer!

T Demjen: This battery has given new life to an old whipper snapper. Unfortunately since the trimmer was a hand me down, I cannot compare it to when it was new. However, for a lead acid battery I do get a good 20 mins of use trimming down the long grass. The functionality for value in my estimation is worth the $20 spent and 4 stars. Only time will reveal the longevity of the battery. I will be keeping the battery indoors for the duration of winter -if that helps? Oh and it wasn't to difficult to switch the battery out -about 20 mins.

T W PRZYBYLINSKI SR: This battery is a great replacement for the oe contained within the Black N Decker trimmer handle. Retro fitted right into place. Works fine, I can now get through most of what needs trimming and edging on one charge b 4 I need to plug it back in. Charges pretty quickly and doesn't change the weight of the trimmer. Word of caution when undoing the screws,etc. There's springs and wire pathways to be aware of and routing of the same paths is essential. Work on a workbench or flat table so as not to loose any parts. :)
