The Bionaire Window Fan with Twin 8.5-Inch Reversible Airflow Blades and Remote Control is a great value for money, with its excellent build quality and customer service. This fan is perfect for drawing in cool air, exhausting hot air, or exchanging air with the outside. It also features an LCD screen and remote control, making it easy to operate. Plus, it has a built-in programmable thermostat that will automatically turn the fan off and on to maintain your desired comfort level. Get the Bionaire Window Fan for the best overall performance in your household. TJC, Baltimore, MD: I have this fan on exhaust in my window set a 70 degrees and for the most part it runs 24/7 - but when it gets cooler it will automatically shut off which I find a great feature. Being a cigatette smoker, i have been looking for a fan with remote thinking it would just turn it on and off when I smoked but this unit really clears out all the smoke from my room so I pretty much leave it on all the time.
The remote is a little unintuitave - but has all of the features on it - so you will get past the learning curve.
My only suggestion for improvement would be the ability to shut off the temperature LED so it doesn't always display. Otherwise A+.

HL: It does what it does. Strong fans
My only issue with it is its bit hard to clean them. Blowing air can at it is simply not enough.

David: My only complaint is you may need to make some modifications or brackets to fit some windows. It is 1 inch wide where it fits the window jamb, on vertical sliders that may be less. So be prepared to correct that issue, you don’t get anything with the fan to cure that issue.

Carl: I bought this unit to combat the incoming heatwave; it has been absolutely fantastic so far. The air-out mode is perfect for pulling hot air and odours from cooking out of my room while the exchange feature provides good ventilation and cools my room effectively. The noise it makes is really non-existent, unlike other products which sound like the turbines on a jet-fuel engine.
The only thing I have to complain about is the price. I had been eyeing this unit while it was floating around $100 when it shot up to $200 while approaching close to Summer, which I think is malicious. The price seems to fluctuate from time to time but if you wait for the right moment, you can snag this genuinely useful product at a better price.

mabel: When the air outside is relatively cool -- even around 20 C -- the air blowing in with this fan will feel cold. It's great for a room where you don't want an air conditioner. The lowest speed is quiet and cool, and even so cool that I put it on "air in / air out" mode so there's less air blowing on me.
During our recent heatwave (30 C) by 11 AM the air blowing in was warm. If I was sitting right in front of it, it still might have had a cooling effect; but when I work at my desk, I'm not in front of the fan. So I reversed the fan and blew the air outwards. Along with the AC running in another room, and a fan pointed at me, I was able to stay comfortable while working from home. And in the evening I would return to blowing the cool air into the apartment.
My only wish: To have vents to be able to angle the air.

BumbleBeeTuna: This fan is absolutely amazing and I highly recommend it. I've purchased other window fans in the past and none compare. In fact, I will likely buy a second.
Here's what you'll love:
THERMOSTAT: This fan has a built in, programmable thermostat which I love. It can be set as cool as 60F. This means you can leave the fan running on a cool night and it will automatically shut itself off once it reaches your selected temperature and you won't end up waking up in the middle of the night freezing cold. The current room temp is shown in red LED lights on the display. Once you press the button to select your desired room temp, it will show your selection and after a few seconds flash back to the room temp which stays on and reflects the current room temp. The lights on the display showing the temp may or may not bother you, depending on how sensitive you are to lighting in your room at night while you try to sleep. Worst case, it's an easy to fix to cover it with something and it hasn't been an issue for me and I love a dark room for sleep.
FAN SPEEDS: There are three fan speeds, low, medium and high. I keep mine on high just to maximize on air flow. It's a great...

Lilly_22: UPDATE May 2018: I've now had this fan for 3 and a 1/2 years and use it almost daily for 1 - 3 hours and it is still working great. I don't know what I do without it - it keeps me from having to use my A/C all the time to cool down my bedroom. Anyway, it is still working great so I still highly recommend this product. Really impressed with it. Best thing about it is how light it is - I can pick it up with one hand. UPDATE Feb 2017: I've had this for about 2 years now and I still love it and think it works great. I use this very often and have had no problems. The one thing I've noticed is that the temp gauge is not accurate to the interior of the room, but honestly it couldn't be since the gauge is part of the fan, so it is measuring right where the wind is and not the whole room. Would be a great feature for new ones to have a remote temp sensor! Anyway, for me this is not an issue since it's easy for me to look at my temp gauge and then just calculate - add 10 degrees or whatever. But I hardly ever use the temp auto off thing anyway since I just blast it for a while before bed to cool the room down and then shut it off. I use it all seasons except summer now because my place is...

Robert C: You are in luck today.
This is a direct comparison review between the three most popular currently available twin window fans:
Bionaire BW2300 Twin Window Fan with Remote Control
Holmes HAWF2043 Twin Window Fan
Honeywell HW-628 Enviracaire Twin Window Fan
If you are interested in purchasing any of those window fans, read on...
I didn't intend to have to do this review because I didn't intend to purchase more than one of these fans. I can tell you now that all of these fans are super cheaply designed and built and none of these fans are perfect, but in my opinion, one is worse than the others.
Holmes HAWF2043 Twin Window Fan : my rating - 3 of 5 stars
I first purchased the Holmes HAWF2043 unit. It was lightweight and fit the window nicely although I had trouble with the extender which is located on the right side. The locks for the extender are located on the right side along the top and bottom edge of the fan, which is supremely stupid because as soon as you place the fan in your window frame and put weight on it, the bottom lock locks and you can not move the extender. What rocket scientist thought of this? So you have to unlock...

ezaire75: I purchased one, and then the next summer bought another for the upstairs bedrooms. They do an excellent job of bringing the outside air in at night to cool off my house. They've both held up for 3 and 2 summers, respectively. I love the flexibility of all the different settings and being able to adjust remotely with the remote control. I also have 2 box fans I use downstairs. Those are very loud but do move a lot of air, more than these I think.
