azentropy: I installed this in the new X2 system that replaced my old Hunter EC system. As I wrote in my X2 review, one of the reasons I went with the X2 was it similar to the EC and I hoped the install would be easier (it was). It also included the weather proofing case where many others did not. However it did not include wifi, which is why I purchased the Wand. It is super easy to install and was easy to setup after my initial issue/delay in setting up an account. For some reason it took varies attempts to finally get the verification email and even then it showed up a couple hours later.
After install it was pretty simple and intuitive to set up and I like that it is controllable by my iPhone, iPad and even a web interface for my Mac. I also was able to add it as an Alexa Helper app and that worked as well. My biggest complaint and why I'll leave it at 4 stars is that I really wish it had Apple HomeKit or Matter compatibility. I don't know if that is something they can add later. Even without it I'm pretty happy with it.

SMRTech: Was trivial to install, but setup took a little bit of work. Had to use Bluetooth for setup, Wifi would not connect to my iPhone. But once I got that, I could go back in the house and configure it. If you really want to save money and not over/under water, you have to have this. Also no need to pay an expensive contractor to set it up, you can easily do it yourself. Very easy way to keep it from watering when it has or is going to rain, without needing a rain sensor. Can compensate for temp/humidity, time of year, etc. So very useful and you can water your lawn on demand from your phone. Big help, big savings.

Guillermo Baldazo Torres: No me gustó porque es difícil de configurar para principiantes, aun no puedo configurarlo pero sigo intentando.

DAVID W.: Let's face it, does the controller box of the Hunter X2 water sprinkler system really need to be so complicated? Well, the WAND solves the problem! My neighbors also struggle with their controller box mounted on the side of the house. It wasn't straight forward to program. Even when I figured out the controller box, it didn't work as expected. I was frustrated, my grass was not happy. I installed the WAND, best $100~ decision in a while! Easy installation, cool added features like accessing local weather stations to adjust the watering based on dry, wet, hot or cool temperatures - and this does not require a rain sensor or programming the weather report sourcing. It all works now, easily programmed from the phone app.

LS: Installed the 3 piece Hunter system, timer, Rain Sensor, antenna sensor. Took me a good hour. System is not intuitive at all. Couldn’t even find my Network. I had to manually enter it. Make sure you take picture of serial number on chip for setup & rebate. Everything worked great when I installed 3 days ago. Then my internet went down for 30 minutes & it did not connect back to router 10 feet away. You would think it would be smart enough to get me back to running but nope. After trying to set up all over again several times & it still would not work. I finally deleted the app. & reinstalled it, took me through the entire set up process all over again. It finally worked but could not remember basic items like password & internet name. This took me about 3 hours of trouble shooting & it ends up being the app? What a disappointment. Then the rain sensor disabled the watering program & app. does not tell me why. Should say rain or forecast or some identifier. So I had to trouble shoot that to insure it was still paired & connected to controller found out it was forecast. No customer service phone number available for problems. I had to email &...

Timothy Caywood: First of all I hated the manual means of configuring my X2 Irrigation Controller. I'm very tech savvy but all the dial flipping and button pushing is crazy. The Wi-Fi module is expensive so I put it off for too long. The app is beautifully laid out so it's easy to change the schedule and duration with a few clicks from anywhere you have an internet connection. Easy to manually turn on/off for testing. Highly recommended.
