Kindle Customer: At first I really liked this butter, although it has too much sugar, but as you get closer to the bottom, all you taste is SALT and nothing else, very unpleasant!. I was going to try unsweetened variety, but afraid it will be too salty, do not recommend this product

Amazon Customer: I really wasn't sure what to expect, other than looking for a peanut butter alternative. I've tried almond butter which was very hard, perhaps because it was sugar free. This seed butter was sealed, however when I peeled it off I noticed it was quite "soupy". I stirred, reaching to the bottom of the container, and that helped a little. Next, I put it in the refrigerator hoping to solidify it some...no luck. I will say with the soupy consistency, and the dark green pea color it was quite unappetizing to look at. The taste was bland, and I couldn't discern any of the seeds individually.

Cameron: Ive always been a big fan of peanut butter—I ate PB sandwiches constantly for lunch as a child, PB spread on apple slices or granola bars, more Reese’s than I’d like to count—and even to this day going to town on a jar of Jif is still a go-to snack. For that reason, and having not particularly liked seed butters in the past, I was skeptical to try this one. But it had been recommended by a friend who’s opinion in food I really trust, so I gave it a go.
The butter surpassed my expectations on every front. The biggest one being the texture—hands down the closest to PB I’ve seen for a seed butter. Really smooth, not at all gritty like sun butter and other alternatives can be. For me, this creaminess is the best part of this product.
Second, the flavor is solid. The roasted sunflower comes through strongly (in a good way). As someone who isn’t used to a lot of the seeds used in the 5 seed butter, it can take a few bites for me to adjust to the flavors. But I quickly do, and I like what I find once I’m a couple of bites in. There is a bit of a thin sweetness to it that almost tastes like a sugar-substitute, although it was light enough not to bother me...

artdall: I think this stuff is pretty good. I’ve been testing it on various things for about month now. On its own, I think you could say the texture is a little “sandy.” You do need to mix it a little bit, similar to how you would with some organic peanut butters. Neither of those things are a negative for me personally. As for taste, I find the sunflower seeds to be a little overpowering, so I’d like to see that flavor toned down a bit. But this was really yummy on apples, pretzels, and on toast with honey. Definitely an option for people who want to avoid nut butters.

Steve Rider: Any kind of a butter made from seeds is likely to be highly nutritious, with 6 grams of protein for each 5 grams of carbs this product does not disappoint. It also is high in fat which is a good thing in this case because it's all healthy fats and fats are required nutrients. I'm disappointed they chose to use a euphemism for sugar, "dehydrated cane juice", just call it what it really is - SUGAR. the second ingredient by weight. I still defend this as wholesome and nutritious.
It is definitely gluten-free as I would have become violently ill if it was not. It also seems to be vegan, my other requirement.
I use it on toaster waffles, it spreads a bit more thickly than generic peanut butter.
It seems to be about twice as expensive as peanut butter, which is still my preferred topping for toaster waffles.

C.M. & T.M.: First and foremost, this has a smooth and creamy texture and is a perfect addition to green smoothies. I did stir it a bit because I find that the creamier part of the butter does move to the top of the jar over time, but it's definitely not like some nut butters that separate. There was none of that with this product.
As far as taste and texture- it makes my smoothies taste creamier and richer, and keeps my energy up longer during my swims, so that's definitely a great aspect of this product.
The reason I purchased it because I was desperate to find a healthy, non-nut based, vegetarian fat source for my diet. I'm a child of the 80's, and "non-fat" was big health craze back then, and I never shook it off. Now that I'm in my mid-40's, and I started having relatively severe bouts of IBS-C, I knew I needed to force myself to find a good source of fat that I could eat every day and could eat with a clear conscience and not wonder if it was doing more harm than good. Besides olives (which contain a ton of sodium) I really eat very little fat, and I knew that I needed to include more healthy fat in my diet.
Since I'm new to this whole "butter" fats thing, I did a...
