M. Denner: Whether you're a beginner or proficient this set provides a nice range of hooks good for small thread to bulky yarn. They glide smoothly over most yarns although I do notice a bit of a grab to chenille and velvet yarns. If you need an extra set for travel or you misplaced your favorite hooks and just need something right now this set will do the job. The only thing I would change is the grip. An ergonomic grip would be gentler on your hands for those of us working in chunky yarn for hours on end.

I will try to post a pic later. They arrived on time (thank you Amazon Prime!) and so far they're GREAT FOR MY PURPOSE (thank you, shop owner!) although I've only used the 1.5mm hook.
I have several sets of crochet hooks including a set of the tiny stainless steel crochet hooks for lace crochet; however, I misplaced them because I haven't crocheted in over a year. I ordered these specifically for the small stainless steel hooks as I am beginning to get serious about learning how to CROCHET AND KNIT 26 GAUGE WIRE JEWELRY. For that reason, I cannot attest to their performance using yarn but I absolutely love that they came in the zippered pleather pouch. There is also enough room in the case for me to store a set of hooks I already owned and a small pack of copper hobby wire with room to spare. I started crocheting a wire bracelet and I was able to place it in the pouch without distorting it with a little room to spare which means there's enough space to easily store other small accessories such as stitch markers or...
