kristian thompson: They seem well made, hopefully they won't ever be needed.
I've put one in the car as part of first aid kit in case of accidents or winter breakdowns.
The other one will come with me on trail runs cycling and hiking they are really compact and light so I won't even notice I'm carrying it, but it could be a lifesaver in the event of an accident. Being bright orange you'll be easily spotted in the wilderness.

Cultech: This is a great deal. I bought it for my son who hikes in Colorado. The weather on the mountains there can change in a flash. So small and lightweight yet durable. Could certainly be a lifesaver in a tough situation. I got them for myself as well.
