Stevie S.: I purchased this to add an emergency shelter for my day hiking bag instead of just carrying the small emergency solar blankets. This just adds additional security for trips out in the wilderness alone, just in case.

Rudolf Klaffenboeck: Lebensrettender Notbiwakschlafsack.

Mr MARTYN GRIFFITHS: Wild camped this weekend, very cold.. sleeping bag was damp by the morning... If your camping for more than I night, I think your sleeping bag will double in weight.. it keeps everything inside.. Saying that, it will stay in my pack, just incase..

Charles Alessi/Kubinski Business Systems: I liked how they explianed they went the extra step to incorporate the color right into the PE layer. For hunters or in an emergency the camo or orange color could be important and if its just printed on wear off. The compents and everything was first rate and I like the survival whistle nice touch, For the weight, size, price and quality it is a good piece to carry wherever your travels take you, And it just may save your bacon someday.

FI11: Tested this at about 40 deg, while dressed in my E&E fleece "bail out " ensemble . Kept me south of comfortable, but no risk of hypothermia. I made a mat of dead grass to help my situation. VERY compact. If you add straw, dead vegetation, etc to increase the "dead air", you will be more comfortable. As a SERE school grad (WAY back in the day), I give it a pass. You could carry a more bulky system, but for what it is, you could tuck in or evade (if needed) and be OK. Can't speak to durability. Was like new after one night of "play" survival. If you need to use it 1x to test (I recommend) of get out of harms way in the real world, just buy another. And please don't forget to have all the other essential components of a quality E&E kit. This is only one, essential component of a much more diverse kit.

Girl next door: Pros
-It’s Mylar
-It’s a sleeping bag which will cover both sides of your body
-It comes in a pouch making it easier to store and pack. While remaining protected
-I like that it’s camo (read cons)
-Shipped in a box that protects actual product and the box that the product comes in
-whistle works (didn’t buy it for that but it’s still a plus)
Cons
-The Mylar is lower medium quality not the thinnest but could be thicker and stronger.
-The sleeping bag design is literally a rectangle with 1 open end for your head. But because it is seamed all the way to the end you will either have your head inside the bag. (Might be hard to breath) or your head and part of your upper body outside of the bag. Unless you cut out a section for your head or cut a little down the sides to allow folding for your face.
- the camo paint on the bag was coming off before I removed it from the bag. Don’t buy it for color or pattern it’s going to be silver regardless:(
- box inside of delivery box was crap partially opened and not gift quality. It doesn’t even say what item you bought. But has all the items the company makes, the receiver might think it’s a...
