Jessica🌹Kimball: Not too sure this stuff works. I add to my filtered water and still get gross black slime. I've had 3 humidifiers break. I used this with the vitamin c one.

Mule girl: I've lost alot of humidifers due to my hard water. I've put the balls in etc and nothing has helped. This stuff is amazing. There is absolutely no calcium residue on the humidifer. Its economical and easy to put in.

Customer: I use tap water in my ultrasonic humidifier and found I needed to double the recommended amount of this solution in each tank of water to keep the machine clean. I also clean the humidifier weekly, first with white vinegar and then bleach, according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Raflm: Issues:
-It claims to keep the device clean, however, I've noticed no difference in the number of bacteria and overall cleanliness of the humidifier. I've been needing to clean the device as much as I normally would.

-It absolutely does not prevent white dust that comes from ultrasonic humidifiers. That white dust is definitely very present and I still see it build up in my computer and have to clean it off about once a week.

-It does not prevent calcium and lime buildup as far as I can tell, I'm still getting that crap building up inside the humidifier.

Overall for $18, you'd be better off pocketing the money to just replace the humidifier down the line rather than relying on this to keep your humidifier's "life extended" whatever that means.

Mantle: I have a small humidifier that uses a disposable mesh filter. I used to change the filter at least 3 times over the winter because it became hard and discolored. With this water treatment, I use the same filter all winter - it stays soft and there is no slime at the bottom of the humidifier. Excellent product.
