Margi: Had this for 3 1/2 years, I think it always ticked a little bit, but recently it's become quite loud. If you're deaf or play loud music/television all the time, it's a fine clock. But if you have sensitive hearing and don't really like the sound of tick-tock tick-tock, it may not be for you.

Patricia Gibbs: I bought this clock for my bathroom, I thought the red would be a nice pop of color. I was wrong, it looked silly. It's such a cute clock though that I found another location for it, I put it in my home office. I still needed a clock for the bathroom so I bought the clock again in the black color. The clock is a really nice size, not too small, not too big. The numbers are easy to read. It seems to be really well made. I only recently purchased it however it seems to be keeping good time.

Amazon Customer: Bought two of these clocks in late January -- one black, one red. Both worked fine for about a month then the red one started losing time -- about 20 minutes every couple of days -- what good is a clock if the accuracy is that poor? As I write this at 11:52 AM, the clock reads 9:39. I tried changing batteries -- twice -- but to no avail. Black one still works fine, so if you're thinking of purchasing these, I'd say you have a 50/50 chance of getting what you're paying for ... not good odds in my book! The return window had, of course, expired before the problem showed!

UPDATE: 2 days ago I tried to return the clock to Amazon who directed me to the manufacturer. Within 48 hours the manufacturer got back to my online complaint, said there was a 1-year warranty on the clock and asked where they should ship the replacement -- now that's GOOD customer service. Updated my review from 1 star to 4 stars. Black clock still works great and I'll bet the new red one will too! Thank you, Bernhard Products!
