I’ve always loved Benchmade, starting with the mini griptilian I bought 12 years ago. Their prices, however, make it tough. It’s never been a question of quality or reliability, but I’m frugal and spending over $100 for a pocket knife is a tough pill to swallow. I’ve had great luck with a variety of brands that are much more affordable— Gerber, Kershaw, buck, Schrade, etc...
I debated over this knife for a couple weeks. I wanted my next EDC after my SOG was stolen at work, but just couldn’t pull the trigger considering the price tag. I’m beyond happy that I finally did.
This is, to me, the perfect pocket knife. It’s light, sturdy, feels incredible in the hand, easily operated, and obviously top quality. I’m not an enthusiast or collector, I buy tools for their intended purpose, and fully intend to use them for that purpose.
Just buy it. It’s an absolute steal for the price, and will absolutely serve it’s purpose. Plus it’ll probably end up as one of your favorites, and if you’re like me, you’ll find every excuse in the book to use it.

Ryan Zehringer: I ordered this knife February 2018 and by pure luck got one laser printed "first production 350 / 700" on the blade right below the "S30v" laser etch. I'm a man approaching my 40's, I've an old eagle scout and had countless knives over the years. This is my favorite EDC of all time replacing my coveted 940 osborne also by benchmade. No BS'ing around, I feel benchmade mastered has mastered the pocket knife. This is the smoothest action of all my benchmades, I have big hands, this fills my hand in such a satisfying way, it has heft to it, the grip on the sides is awesome, the jimping for the thumb is actually functional and provides proper grip (unlike the jimping on my 940). The belly on this blade and the grind is a far better slicer than my 940 and even though its a recurve, easily goes back to razer sharp on any typical ceramic rod sharping systems. Hair shaving sharpness is easily achieved. I put a piece of paracord through the open loop at the bottom steel liner (by the way, the steel liner goes all the way through the handle 100% and you can feel it when the knife clicks into place because the whole thing reverberates with a solidity that feels great. ...

This one hell of a edc pocket folder, and worth every penny. I have been carrying a folding pocket knife every day for about 25 years now. I traditionally opt to spend more money on fixed blades ($100-$200)and usually stick with around the 50 dollar range for pocket folders, since i usually just beat on them pretty bad and occassionally lose/misplace them....
Before this purchase tho, I had been carrying the same folder for 5 years or so, and thought, "ah what the hell, I'm going to spring for something better".....no regrets here whatsoever. One handed operation is very smooth and easy, and the notorious "axis lock" pretty much makes this thing bombproof, and seems damn close to being a fixed blade. I am a machinist by trade, and have a very keen eye for any type of imperfections and quality/construction of things like this. I have to say, benchmade nailed it with this blade and I will most certainly be buying more of their knives in the future. Not a single flaw to be found on this knife. Shaving sharp out of the box, easy to get that shaving sharp back when touching up with some ceramic, it's a work art.
I really like the grip on this knife, the...

Don:
My Grizzly Ridge arrived a bit tighter than some of the reviews I watched on you tube, but a little nano oil and some work with the knife and the action is one of the best in my collection.
While Benchmade is known to produce a high quality knife, the value you receive with this knife compared with alternatives like the Crooked River or something similar is insane. For what you are receiving, it would be difficult not to put this knife in your collection.
Pros:
1. The value for what you get in this Benchmade knife surpasses other similar Benchmade knifes.
2. The action on this knife is flawless. The tip is perfectly aligned in the middle of the handle.
3. The grip, while not a G10, is significantly rugged and handles extremely well in wet conditions (i.e. field dressing an animal)
4. The product quality combined with the s30v steel should last a lifetime.
Cons:
1. While the grip is great for field dressing, you may also nice that it grabs at you pants when removing it from your pocket
2. While the cost is a serious value proposition from Benchmade, $125 knives are a little more than some folks would like to spend.
3. The...
