Gordon Jules Micunis: I have just started to go to the SKETCH CLASS at New York's ART STUDENT'S LEAQUE. I hadn't been to a life class in 25 years or so.
My dear cousin, cartoonist Hilda Terry used to teach this class, and before her, her husband, also well known cartoonist, Gregory D'Alessio also taught it.
It consist of three and a half hours of "timed" poses by .s.l.s very professional models. Everyone works very hard, and may produce stunning sketches. Some don't. But that's not as important as the act of drawing. It's sort of like playing scales for a pianist!
To make a long story short, I bought these three pads, thinking I would just be getting some crappy newsprint or equal. NO, this paper is really quite heavy. You don't have to use a separator between layers, and it takes lots of abuse from my charcoal pencils.
Each sheet has a neat tear off perforation, just in case you want to separate the sheets.
I am very pleased with this product and impressed by it's bargain price.
