FullmetalZ26: Ordered this to replace the supplied 24" thunderbolt cable that was included with my Caldigit TS3+ docking station, which I use with a Dell laptop. Was a bit nervous to take a chance considering the price premium of these cables, but everything works as it should between dock and PC -- external monitor works, charging via the dock works, network connection is solid, and I have had no issues with the connection between dock and PC being flaky or unstable. Now I only have one cable to connect to the laptop, and the dock with its cable spaghetti can live under the desk -- definitely worth the purchase!

K. Mcbryde: These turned out exactly as I had hoped. These are true thunderbolt cables that worked with my audio interface going to my HP Omen laptop to be used as a recording studio setup. I tried other so-called thunderbolt 3 cables but none of them worked, or worked a few minutes and dropped the signal. These never dropped. They have not failed me yet and I highly recommend them.

EE: I have a couple of modest goals for this review: First, to clarify the 60W power delivery claim other reviewers mentioned, and second, to detail my experience with the cable.

First, the cable I received stated 100W power delivery, as opposed to 60W. Please review the photos I uploaded for confirmation. I understand that others posted pictures of their boxes that read “60W.” Obviously, that is what they received. But my recent purchase suggests that Belkin is no longer shipping 60W cables. Instead, it is shipping the 100W cables, as advertised. Although I sympathize with the effected reviewers, I also recognize that the tides have changed.

Second, my experience. I own a 2017 MacBook Pro with a Touch Bar. I also own a Razer External Graphics Processing Unit (EGPU). My computer connects to the EGPU via a Thunderbolt 3 cable. I purchased this cable because the Thunderbolt 3 cable that came with the EGPU effectively anchored my computer to the EGPU. I bought the Belkin cord because it offered more length. I haven’t noticed a difference in performance. I do game on my Mac and my frames per second haven’t dipped or increased.

With that said, I do recommend...

DarnellDarnell: Products like these are tough to justify sometimes, because at the end of the day, it's not a computer, or television, or phone or audio system; it's just a cable. But no, it's not just a cable. It's a gateway to streamline the rest of your entertainment experience. Most cables that come with eGPUs are laughably short, something like a foot most of the time. This is horribly restrictive, and makes even basic setups that much more difficult if you don't intend on having the machine right next to you. This cable has been a blessing in disguise, allowing me to harness the power of the eGPU while sitting comfortably on my couch. I don't even hear the thing running most of the time. Yes it's costly, but considering it charges and gives the full 40 gbps, but at close to 6 times the length, it's a no-brainer. It's very nicely constructed, plugs in tightly and doesn't come out easily when pulled casually and even has a soft, leather type feel to it. If you're on the fence about it, just hop over and grab one. It never hurts to have the extra length when flexibility is needed.

Todd Dorschner: When I got the correct product, it was as described. I purchased an "open box" item. Unfortunately THIS Thunderbolt cable was not in the box. What *was* in the box was a USB-C cable, capable of charging a cell phone, but NOT capable of transmitting the bandwidth that Thunderbolt requires.
