2Boss Chix: I ordered this for my folk's house. When it arrived, we read the instructions, installed it, tested it, and all was well. Occasionally we retest just to make sure it is working well and so far, so good. It had a good price and good reviews. Very pleased with this purchase.

Kate: My gas detector has never gone off (luckily) but it has a good loud alarm!
The detector is kinda large, it takes up a lot of space on the outlet.

Phoebe Olin: I bought this product because I suspected a minor gas leak in the basement. I could smell very tiny amounts of gas by the meter so I plugged it in right next to the gas meter to see if it would detect anything; it did not. I ended up going with my gut and calling the gas company regardless of the negative reading. Turns out we had not one but TWO gas leaks right above the meter. When the gas company was fixing it, there was some gas released into the basement since they had to redo the piping. At this point, the whole basement smelled of gas and the device sounded its alarm. So it definitely does work, but it will not detect small amounts of gas as I still had to rely on my nose (and thank god I did!).
