Do you really need these when you could just use a fork? No. Do you get to feel like a bear when you use a fork? No.
These shred well and clean easily in the dishwasher. Be careful! They are actually really sharp.
I'd say these are more of a novelty than a must-have kitchen gadget. It made for a fun gift.

These are larger than they appear on line and VERY sharp. Really useful for lifting meat out of the tray or holding it when carving and also for 'pulled pork'.
