I was replacing existing flouresence lights in my garage rather than buying new bulbs. Took these out of the box and them all installed in about 15 minutes ( I already had outlets in ceiling of my garage which made ti very quick to install. Love the brightness of these as well. I will buy more for my workshop.

Okay - first thing: when your lights arrive you're going to think "Oh no! They only sent me one light - I bought a 4-pack didn't I?" - Don't panic! You did indeed buy a 4-pack, they're all in the one small (long) box.
The packaging is pretty flimsy, and technically the lights feel flimsy, too. They're extremely light weight, and assuming you're buying them for a shop application I think you'll be pleased. Because they weigh practically nothing installation should be a breeze compared to awkwardness of working with traditional fluorescent light housings.
The weirdest part of these lights is the LED nature. Flip the switch and they come on instantly - no more hum, flicker, tentative hesitation before coming on. Just WHAM! Instant bright white light. Also, the diffusion in the plastic tube (faux-bulb) material really evens out the light dispersion. In other words, you really can't see the individual LED lights inside. It's pretty cool.
NOTE: These do not come with any sort of housing - at all. If you really want to make them directional you'll have to come up with you own solution. On the back of the 'bulb' is a 1/2" white strip running it's...
