M. Schlieter: I gave my dogs this and it definitely works. However, I gave it to them in the morning and then supervised them most of the day, took them for a walk, etc. After about 6 hours, I had to leave for work. I came home on lunch 4 hours later, and it was like the poopocalypse in my house. I should have put my dogs in a crate that day, because I came home to my carpet being virtually destroyed by diarrhea. Like I said, the product works, but it will run through them and cause an extreme voiding.

LEADFOOT: Broad spectrum wormers are excellent IF the product covers ALL of the common worm parasites. The granular broad spectrum OTC products on the market do NOT cover the common parasites. The tapeworm species commonly seen in dogs that have the common flea as an intermediate carrier is NOT covered by those other products. My multiple water & field hunters demonstrated this to me in a lesson not to be forgotten. Upon switching to this product with praziquantel, no parasite resistance has been seen, whatsoever. My vet is in complete agreement. The only other protection needed is to be sure that EFFECTIVE flea treatment (collars, etc) is included in your hunting partner's preventative care. When faced with resistant tapeworm infestation (bloating, cough, malaise, dry dull hair persistent after worming with other products), use this product. Then worm in one week to kill parasites that hatch from existing tapeworm eggs present at the time of initial worming. I then worm again one month from the initial worming to eliminate any remaining parasites & to prevent survival of tapeworms that can develop resistance to drug therapy.

Sharon Delarose: Like most folks, I’ve trusted product packaging, and for years have bought dewormers based on their listing all of the worms on the front of the box as if the dewormer kills them all. Only “that other brand” doesn’t.
We travel quite a bit, taking road trips with our dogs, and since we stay at dog-friendly hotels and cottages where a gazillion other dogs have paraded through, leaving behind whatever they carry for our dogs to pick up, I deflea before every road trip to ensure protection going in, and deflea and deworm faithfully after every road trip (at the proper interval for the flea product).
Well our dog Sierra picked up tapeworms in spite of the other dewormers, the flea treatment barrier, and in spite of being on a heartworm preventive that also kills some of the other worms. Also, she does NOT have fleas. There hasn’t been a visible flea on her in years, or flea dirt, or scratching. But somewhere in our travels, she picked up a load of tapeworms which come from fleas.
That’s when I got busy researching.
And this is what I discovered. Bayer’s Quad dewormer carries THREE ingredients, each of which targets a specific subset of worms....

Shaun: I won't list the technical names of the types of tapeworms I researched, but most of the tapeworm medicines at your local store don't affect the tapeworms that dogs COMMONLY get. That doesn't go to say your dog doesn't have one of the less common types, but it does indicate a reason why most of the store tapeworm medicines do not work more often than they do. With that being said, this stuff does work. It is a little more expensive than the store medicines, but it knocks the tapeworms out. My dog kept showing signs of tapeworm in his excrement. I purchased some over the counter stuff at my local store. It didn't seem to work. So I got online and done some research and tried this. After the recommended dosage, I haven't seen any more signs.
Remember, follow the recommended dosage. NEVER worm a sick dog. Finally, if you are unsure, always carry your dog to the vet. If you're going to own a pet, take care of it the best you can.

Shannon L: Worked great. After reading several reviews I decided to give my boy (American bulldog) 1/2 tab at a time over 4 hours. He had worms, this cleaned his tummy of them. He did not like the "cookies" had to make him eat them, which was easy enough because they're small.
