Hau NguyenHau Nguyen: Got a floor remodel job where i need to remove all the baseboards and reinstall them later. The baseboards need to have all of the old nails removed and this tool did a fantastic job doing just that! I pulled roughly 800 to a thousand nails of different kinds, from 18 gauge brad nails to thick finish nails. The tool can easily be operated with one hand as shown in the picture and it makes a tedious task more satisfying and fast.

Upon receiving, I inspected the tool and it is of good quality, no defects and the teeth are lined up, tight and sharp. No doubts you can snip a 16 penny framing nail with it.

I did a bunch of research on different nail pullers out there (Amazon, Lowes, HomeDepot). This thing stood out and after using it, it sure keeps the number 1 spot!

R CagnoR Cagno: These "nail puller/end cutters" are nicely made. The rubber handles are fit well to the tool. They are solid and the jaws are well machined. They meet well with no offset and the hinge is smooth with no binding. The casting is clean without pock marks or bumps.

They work well for pulling nails if the nail head is "proud" of the wood. They are not going to reach down into the wood for the nail head without doing a fair amount of damage to the surface of the wood, but, if you can get a grip on the head of the nail, these will allow you to make short work of pulling a common nail.

The cutting edge is sharp for an inexpensive tool. It easily cuts wire and thin material and holds its edge. I do believe it would take the grip of a gorilla to cut off a framing nail, but, I believe it could be done. I would not want it to cut through a nail too easily. That would make it very difficult to use as a puller.

At this price point it is a good value. Is it a precision tool valued at $50+? No. But, at the current price of $10.85, it is a versatile tool well worth a place in my toolbox.
