MrChiSox: I have been enjoying Brioche, Potato & King's Hawaiian buns a lot over the past few months in order to just get away from the everyday burger buns you can buy in any grocery store. Recently my wife picked up some 1/2 pound Pub burgers when they were on sale so I wanted a bun large enough that these big kahuna sized patties didn't overlap the bun. These worked out fabulously.
Soft and Fresh these were the perfect bun for the job of standing up to the task at hand. After seasoning burgers I cooked them on the Weber. I used Cheddar cheese on the burgers. I lightly buttered the buns before toasting, then spread a little Mayo on the underside of the top halves. Ketchup, Mustard, Pickle & Tomato slice went on top of the patty. It was a sizeable meal in itself but your appetite may be larger. We just had a few chips with the burgers but what's wrong with that?
I'll buy these again. Simple enough bun but flavorable and fresh.
