Erin: It has been a while since I found some really great all purpose shorts. Great for working out and going to town. Flattering fit. Great length for adult women. Fabric retains shape but isn't stiff. Zip pockets are a great bonus. I bought several colors!!

Janet in MD: I like to wear shorts made of quick-dry fabric like these over my swimsuit when I go to the pool or the beach. After swimming and allowing my swimsuit to dry off a just little, I can pull them back on over the damp suit for a little more modesty to go the snack bar, for a walk on the beach, or for my trip home, and they don’t get soaking wet. The fabric is a very nice weight, a little more substantial than a similar pair I have (of a different brand), but not thick or heavy at all. And the length is perfect. I bought the size I normally get, large (I wear size 14), but found the cut of these shorts to be a little on the slim side, so I returned them and got an XL (yay for the ease of returning at Kohl’s!). Even in the larger size, they’re slimmer than I had hoped, but that’s just the cut of these shorts; they fit me just fine. Actually, the size I ended up with is exactly the right size for me, according to my height and weight on the sizing chart. I should have looked at that first!
