L. Yu: I love the thickness and it’s worth it when on sale. I have a Bruce Lee edition of Century Martial Arts XXL floor standing heavy bag. And I had placed it on a half inch puzzle mat but it’s not enough. If you have a floorstanding heavy bag use this as a mat to protect your floors!

rajathrajath: A bit color mismatch and smells like Diesel or chemical initially, a bit prone for scratches when if place sharp things.
Otherwise, worth for the money. (The pictures only used like 25% of the given amount). For large areas, like garages or basement usage, this works perfectly (economically mainly)

Anonymous: Quick shipping. Very easy to lay down and assemble in minutes. Each tile also contains border pieces on 2 sides which are really handy to ensure you have a straight and smooth border for the gym area. I bought the 3/4inch thickness tiles and they are really comfortable to walk on and seem pretty durable. Exercises bench and weight rack have been on the tiles for several days now and doesn’t seem to cause any damage. Would definitely recommend.

Amazon Customer: I purchased about 200 sq ft of the foam mat for the purposes of using it as padding on the concrete basement floor for our doggy play area. It was really easy to assemble and to cut as needed. The product does move easily if it is not used up against at least a couple of walls to prevent it from sliding around. It is also a bit slippery (despite its claim that it is non-slip). However, I am quite happy with the product, especially for the price I paid and for the purpose I am using it. The 3/4 inch is thicker than our carpet and my dogs love playing on it.

Mr. SMr. S: For years we had professional gym 1 inch 48x48 large matts for Taekwondo.

I was looking something lighter and small in size. Found these 1" Thick, 24 SQFT Mats from BalanceFrom at amazon, immediately ordered 4 sets (24 mats).

They came within a week and easy to assemble( though edges you need couple of retries until you get a right one in flow pattern).

Mats are solid and easy to clean, they are very lighter.

I have arranged these mats in 5x5 format (25 mats), so I needed an extra tile. To compensate this extra tile, I used two old 0.5 thick yellow tiles together (from different brand), interestingly they fit perfectly (see yellow).

I read lot of reviews that these are not compatible with other brands, this is not true.

I wanted to buy two more sets, but they ran out of the amazon and also on their site.

James Fergerson: I ordered a 1" BalanceFrom mat since I needed a larger mat for my gym room. The parts were very easy to snap together out of the box. Be careful how you align the outer edges--there are are two types of edge pieces. It was easy to remove an edge piece and replace it with another for a perfect fit. The mat has a firmer feel than my old "roll-up" mat, but that meets my needs. It is easy to clean with a damp cloth.

D'ArtD'Art: For those times I don’t feel like driving to the gym, I use a small free-weight set (120 lbs total) and bench in my garage. I was paranoid about dropping the weights and damaging the cement floor so I bought a 24 sq ft package of 1-inch mats in black and they’ve worked great thus far. (The package included six 2 ft x 2 ft mats with twelve thin edge pieces.)

I no longer worry about running out of steam at the end of a set of dumbbell presses and letting the weights fall to the floor because the mats do a great job of absorbing the shock.

Density-wise these mat are much heftier than I expected based the other reviews. Perhaps those customers bought the 1/2” mats. I can attest that the 1-inch-thick mats are very dense and very sturdy. They probably wouldn’t last more than a few months in a professional gym with hundreds of members stomping on them daily but they are perfect for a home gym set up.

And although I haven’t tried, I wouldn’t drop super-heavy weights from over my head to the floor, although that might be fine if you doubled up on the mats to create a 2”-thick surface.

Layla: Wir haben die Matten für unser Spielzimmer gekauft. Die Matte haben wir nun im ganzen Zimmer liegen, saugen und wischen ist Gänse Problem. Es ist schön weich und warm. Die Kinder krabbeln darauf und das spielen funktioniert auch super, wir sitze. Inzwischen nur noch auf dem Boden.
