JJ: After a lot of research on a truck bed cover purchase I went with the BackflipMX4. Had friends with older versions and liked them. Materials are good quality but needs some touch up rubber trimming and weather sealing to be installed to my liking. About an hour to install with utilitrack rails. Overall good value but price is bit high for the fit and finish.

MineMine: If you don't HAVE to have full bed access, buy a cover half this price. I settled on the MX4 because I wanted a bed cover that would still allow access to my toolbox at the front of the bed, and the ability to drive at speed with it open was a big plus. Shipping was blazing fast, I ordered at 6PM on Thursday and UPS delivered it Tuesday morning. Assembly was easy enough, I had mine on in less than an hour with nothing but a 7/16 wrench and a Phillips screwdriver. The instructions are great, but they omit some key details. Like the placement of the cork/rubber gaskets under the buckles and elevator bolts. And would it have been to hard to predrill the holes in the front ones? That's where the positives stop.

The MX4 rails seal to the top of the bed rails, and the cover seals to the MX4 rails. The seal on both rails is obviously aligned incorrectly (see photo). Not sure how this will affect the overall sealing process, but it looks so BAD I'm embarrassed to have paid $1200 for it. The plastic trim pieces on the front corners are flimsy and rattle on the road. I initially thought they were protective caps for shipping but they're not, they're just poorly attached. Michael Scott: This is the one I wanted and needed. Works great on my Nissan Titan. Only pain was the Utili-track turning upside down. I waited a couple of weeks to get this. Put it on ASAP if your truck is new and if not be ready to work at the bolts some.

Troy: Defective placement of prop up rod holders on cover. Prop up rods ended up being too long for where they placed the prop up holders. I had a few other minor concerns about build quality for the cost of this item but not worth mentioning. Bak offered to send a new cover only when I first spray painted my zip code on the cover then drilled holes in it and sent them pictures. So I would have to get spray paint work at destroying the cover, then after pictures get rid of this cover somehow and hope they did in fact send me a new one. After I destroyed it what guaranty would I have of getting a new one? Completely horrible and wasteful policy. I returned it to Amazon for a refund. Much easier than fighting for a replacement and the work needed to get rid of it. Due to this I bought an Undercover Armour flex.
The MX4 did look good on the Truck, but for the extra $100.00 the Armour Flex quality is better.

kenn_ex82kenn_ex82: easy intstall with utilitrack had to use the longer bolts to the sliding brackets to even out in the track as when the small bolts tighten with the c clamp it does bend an angle.. otherwise perfect

Chuck W.: So I ordered this item for a 2018 Nissan Titan PRO 4X which has a 65in bed with the utility track. I get the cover on Wed and plan on installing Friday after work. Well I opened everything up Friday and start to install, first problem is there were no instructions to install on the utility track without flipping over. From my understanding they added new hardware and instructions May time frame so you dont have to flip over the track anymore. I had the hardware just no instructions. I called Bak and I was emailed the new instructions. Then when I went to instsll the bed rails they were too long. I called Bak back and sent them a picture. After we went through all the part numbers Bak said I have the right size cover just the rails were cut wrong and mislabeled. So its Friday and they can't send anything out till Monday, by over night air. Just very frustrsting you spend almost $1000 on something and can't use it because thier quality control screwed up. We will see what happens come Monday and if I get the bed rails on Tuesday. So far not very happy.
