Dalton StawickiDalton Stawicki: Upgraded from an older REI aluminum frame pack. This pack is very comfortable and molds to your body. The first time I put it on with 50lbs of weight I was amazed at the difference from my older pack. Take the time to learn how to wear, use and adjust the pack correctly to your body. If it’s not adjusted correctly then any pack is going to wear you down after a few miles in the heat. It has great storage and the construction is very solid. The blaze orange meat hauler cover and rifle stock support is in a somewhat hidden zipper underneath so don’t miss that. Overall extremely happy with this pack, highly recommended watching YouTube reviews to go over all the features in detail.

Amazon Customer: I don’t even know where to begin. I spend a massive portion of my life in interesting and remote places for both recreation and work. As a adventure photographer and hunter I’m frequently using different kit to sustain the amount of time I have in the wilderness. I use a Couple key factors when choosing kit to base it’s effectiveness to get the job done. Weight, versatility, durability, Packability, and Application. The weight is extremely good in my personal opinion and the pack when properly adjusted removes the weight from your shoulders to your hips making the packed weight feel significantly easier to move for extended periods of time. Often times in recreational equipment weight it sacrificed only when durability is lost. That’s not the case with this pack. This thing is tough as nails! As far a versatile goes I could see this pack being used in a broad spectrum of outdoor applications but it certainly excelled at its intended usage of a extended duration hunting pack. All the pockets and placements as well as added feature such as the integrated meat shelf and ability to have a bow cradle attached (im a bow hunter) make this a superior bag for the task! Love the...

Hooligun: It was time to replace a pack that my Dad had given me before he passed and I had hunted with for years so you could imagine this pack had some big shoes to fill. I honestly think this is the only pack that I could imagine could fill the hole. It is perfect from an Awesome company with the best warranty.
Pros:
internal frame, HUGE zipper pulls, super sturdy fasteners, completely expandable, meat shelf, comfortable and adjustable straps, pistol holster both sides, hidden rifle holder, optics holder, great balance, easy to strap down stuff to the outside. Internal bladder pouch absorbs condensation so your gear does not get moist. Fairly waterproof by itself.
Cons: No external radio pocket one thing about my old pack I liked better was a shoulder strap radio pouch. A bladder hose holder on the strap would be nice I robbed my old one. You have to buy a bladder and rain cover separate. Not really a big deal because I like water/Gatorade bottles instead when I hunt. Just so much easier to deal with Instead of cleaning out the bladder and drying it so it does not taste like an aquarium . I did buy the bladder though just because I am a gear nerd. make sure you get the...

bpro: Wow, what a great pack. It's the old camo pattern, but I don't plan on trying to hide from anyone, so it's great for me to use hunting or camping. I'm sure that's one reason it was priced so reasonably. Badlands has a lifetime warranty and will repair or replace any of their equipment for any reason. How can you go wrong?!? The pack has plenty of room and and has an internal frame that is great for packing out meat if you are a hunter, and just helps distribute the weight if you aren't. I would buy this pack for long weekend camping. I don't think it's really suited for extended camping, but great for shorter excursions. I did purchase a separate water bladder since one isn't included with the pack. It fit right inside the pack.

Biser Fan: Writing this review after receiving my pack to clarify some questions the listing doesn’t answer. The pack is made in Vietnam (always better quality than China in my experience). I ordered the cheapest available Realtree Ap-xtra camo pattern in large. The sizes (medium/large) reference the harness sizing based on your torso length and not the actual pack size (both M&L are the same pack size). From the Badlands official site, M for 17”-19” torso lengths and L for 19”-22” torso lengths. YouTube how to measure your torso before you decide on size. The pack I received has all the new features that the more expensive newer camo/color packs have such as the new KXO-50 fabric and newer magnesium alloy frame. The weight of the pack is 5 lbs 7 oz. The pack does come with an adjustable rifle/bow boot that folds into its own pocket at the base of the pack near the meat shelf pocket. The pack also has the pistol holsters on each side as well as the bino loops on each shoulder strap. As far as I can tell, the only reason this pack was cheaper was the camo pattern. Looking forward to testing this out in the field. Happy hunting.
