odpodp: Friends have huge cases for carrying big binoculars and enough things to outfit a scout troop.
But big cases have to be carried on outside of coats/jackets.
This case is thin and small and so can fit inside jackets when needed.
Can hold a surprising amount of items.
Small case so do not expect it to carry a lot, especially big binoculars, but can easily attach outriggers to it.
I simply used small tie straps to attach small binocular case to the side where it sits comfortably and clasps to hang down pouch to carry GPS and ID wallet..
No magnetic flap so can keep cell phone and handheld GPS safely in/on it.
Electronics hate magnets.
Put a utility knife in side pocket, snug fit so will not fall out.
Hunting licences and other ID go into attached pouch. Room for a wallet.
For hiking/hunting it is perfect for me as can hold what I need especially a rifle clip that was constantly falling out of my pocket when travelling in truck since carrying a full clip in rifle while travelling is a bad thing.
Does the job if you do not need to carry 10 pounds of equipment that you do not need on your chest.
That's what backpacks are for.
For hiking it can hold...

EnriquezEnriquez: This harness is awesome until I bought this I used the generic elastic band style harness, and although it worked it had a tendency to bounce a lot. The Alps harness sits snug and close to your chest. The side pocket is perfect for a bottle of wind checker and the pocket against your chest I’d great to hold licenses and tags even diaphragms or if you use onX hunt your phone sits secure. My current “nockers” that sit in it are bushnel 10x42s. They sit with not too much room to spare but slide in and out without much fuss. The only thing I’d isn’t ideal is its front pocket which is too tight to use practically when your glass is in the harness.

DruDru: I don't comment on something unless it works very well or it fails completely. And The Alps bino chest rig works very well and at a very affordable price.
I have a few Alps Outdoors products and have been very pleased in the past with those purchases; and this bino chest rig is no exception and works amazingly.
Holds and keeps my binos safe and secure from environmental elements and from damage caused by the outdoors.. Has a handy pocket to hold your windicator easily accessible to quickly check the wind direction.
Has a built in optics cleaner in a front zippered pocket with a nice loop handle on zipper to access with or with out gloves on.
Even has some Molly webbing on the right side to attach a Leatherman, Flashlight or the intended purpose of attaching the Alps Rangefinder pouch (Which I will be ordering and testing this week)
The chest rig come with all needed components to attach binos to rig.
The adjustments are great on this harness. Works well for early Archery hunting with minimal clothes & is surprisingly adjustable enough to fit over your winter hunting layers. When your into the -Teens/-20+°c weather Which is very nice....

Buss: There's a lot to like about this harness. Light weight and quiet (quieter than the Kuiu Pro Harness for sure). My ONLY complaint is that being the chest strap attaches at the very bottom it creates a pivot point where most/all of the weight onto that bottom edge which digs into your stomach. I was not able to adjust the shoulder straps to compensate it unfortunately.

Coop: This harness is great! It is compact, lightweight, and easy to put on. One thing I liked about this harness compared to others is that the holster for the binoculars remains connected to the entire harness. Many other models essentially have 2 separate pieces. One piece is the shoulder strap and the other is the holster for the binoculars (held only by a single strap that goes around your chest, not very comfortable). Another feature I like about this harness is the strap that is connected to the binoculars is separate from the strap that is connected to the holster for the binoculars. You can also unbuckle the binoculars from the harness without having to completely remove the strap.

Soup: They do NOT work well with porro prism binos like the Leupold Yosemite. When the binos are in a closed position, with the lens covers on, the hinge will get caught when inserting them into the harness. You need to ditch the lens covers, push the binos down and then try to flatten them out at the same time. This would not work for someone that frequently removes and replaces that type of bino. Hunting from a blind, this may not be an issue for me, but quick deployment is not possible. Front pocket is only useful for a couple pieces of paper and the lens wipe. Well made and a decent value, but designed for roof prism binos.
