Cynthia Sunshine: I put this art pad in my cart and then remove it because I was concerned it wouldn't be thick or sturdy enough for acrylic paint. But I was pleasantly surprised and very happy I decided to give it try,... very thick, very sturdy, and it does not bleed through. I will purchase this item again. Exactly what I was looking for.

Ellie: I like the paper quality s far as thickness and texture. Can easily be used for all types of media from watercolor, to pencil, Conte, even acrylic. Perforated for easy removal of pages.

Amethyst: I have had this paper for six months and still have it. I have only used watercolor and acrylic paint on this paper. Acrylic paint works well, but watercolor isn't relly that nice on this paper and I would rather buy a different brand like Canson. The paper thins out a lot if you use over 3 layers of acrylic paint and watercolor. It also buckles with watercolor. The paper is still nice though.

Here's some of my complaints.
First of all, the front and back cover fall off extremely easily, especially the front cover. The front cover fell off after only a month of having it. The spiral bound wire thingy (don't know what its called) bends really easily. Secondly, the paper is not white and is a light gray color. This may be good for some artists who want their art to pop, but I hate this because if I make a mistake, I cover it with white paint and it is noticeable and instead I have to mix a certain shade of gray to get the color right. Also this pad says it's for watercolor mostly, but really like I've said before watercolor does not work that well on this paper.

MG: I am an art teacher and I love the heavy weight of this paper. It seems soft and toothy. It is great for water color or oil pastels. Sharpie does not go through the paper. Watercolors bleed well and the paper doesn’t pill or shred too much when wet. It is a big thick sketch book with a lot of pages. I just wish it wasn’t a spiral binding but at least the spiral is at the top so it makes it easier to slide in and out of my bag. I like this better then other mixed media sketchbooks I have bought before. Definitely will buy again.
