Faye: Filter worked decently for the first while but did clog rather easily, far faster than my other filters.

Now that I've had it for a while it has stopped working almost entirely, I disassembled the motor as much as I could to clean it out and it still barely moves water, probably a gallon an hour if im lucky, huge waste of money, and no more silent than any of my other HOB filters

alsonot: Just really disappointed as I unpacked it. There were plastic chips throughout and it's clear that from the water flow it'll provide minimal filtration.

buys-stuff: Update: After running a few days, the Azoo seems to have gotten louder. The vibrations seem to be picked up and amplified by my tank's frame and light. Unplugged it for a few seconds to compare it to the the three other filters in the room, and it was like turning the TV to mute. The space became so much quieter.

The Azoo is still within "normal" for an HOB in terms of noise, but if you're looking for something quieter than Aquaclear, Biowheel, etc., this isn't it. I'll either find a use for it in a room with more background noise to mask the sound, or give it to a hobbyist whose need is better suited to it.

The good: It's a nice little filter. Construction appears on par with big name brands like Aquaclear. Easy to assemble and reasonably quiet. Adjustable flow. Prefilter sponge included for the intake.

The less good: This should not be advertised to filter anything larger than a 5 gallon, in my opinion, and I feel like even that's a stretch. The flow rate just isn't enough for this to be the sole filter on anything larger. The media basket is fairly generous given the overall size of the filter, but it's still small and designed...

LuisLuis: No hace mucho ruido como otros dicen y genial para un gambario de 20 litros, obvio tiene poco caudal justo para no mover mucho a estos invertebrados.

David: I have this on my 5 gallon tank and It fits perfectly. I didn't like the small foam pad and charcoal insert so I replaced it with some fluval foam I had from my 75 gallon tank. I don't know what is causing it but there is a layer of some sort on the top of the water. I skim it with a paper towel everyday but it comes back. I'm not sure if this is coming from the filter or not but I've never had a problem like this. I'm not sure what fish I want in this tank yet but even on the lowest flow it looks like my plants and debris is getting swirled around like crazy. I'm not sure if it would be ok for a Betta or shrimp. Otherwise I think it's a good HOB filter. I like that it has a sponge on the intake for extra bacteria growth and that it has a slim design. I removed the plastic trim from my 5 gallon and it hangs on perfectly! I'll be keeping this but I probably won't want to throw something like a Betta in this tank.

Update
I didn’t like that the top was clear and felt like the bacteria might grow better in a dark space. So I put tinted cling you would use on car windows on the back of the cover of the filter. My tank was finally able to cycle properly.

Will_Ruz: no es muy bueno por que la limpieza que hace es a medias por el material filtrante que trae tuve que improvisar con otros materiales para que funcione mas o menos bien
pero por el precio no se puede pedir mas

☆M☆: It's a great little filter for nano tanks if you use it correctly. I'm using the 150 model on a 2.5 gallon tank as I needed a heavily aerated environment for the species of shrimp I keep. I originally had the Mignon 60 model and it seemed to clean well enough but I needed the extra space for more biological filtration being as my water is pretty soft with a pH of 6. Such tanks need a lot of filtration to keep nitrogen cycle going. If keeping fish or regular 'ol cherry shrimp, this isn't really a concern. This filter would probably do fine on tanks between 5-7 gallons. 10 gallons is pushing it, IMO.

There are a few "mods" on youtube for filter media but be warned, this is a back to front flow HOB filter. In other words, stacking sponges on top of each other like you would with an Aquaclear is going to make this filter next to worthless. I just used the included sponge to make a template for my own sponges. The gap between the sponge and the bottom of the filter is there for a reason. I had originally cut my foam a bit longer so it would fill the compartment from top to bottom thinking that no water can pass without going through the sponge media first. While this is true,...
