Retrouser: Is there a possible fix for this clock? The hour hand is off. When it’s 6 o’clock the hour hand points somewhere between 5 and 6. Otherwise it looks good and keeps accurate time.

The Vernier Scale: We use the one we bought every day and so far it's always been right on time. Just put a new battery in and hang it up. The face is bright and easy to read.

My only concern is that all of these inexpensive battery operated clocks use a mechanism that will go fritz on you after a couple of years. The mechanisms can be replace, but you will need to find the right shaft size, hands size, and mechanism to match and pull out the old one to install this one. I have owned three or four clocks in the past that have this type of clock motor, and I have had to replace all of the clock motors after a couple of years. They simply do not last. The motors of some clocks are easier to install than others. Unfortunately, you can't tell how hard it is to replace the clock without actually doing it, as the clocks all have a different way the mechanism is mounted. You will usually need to take out the clock face to get at the back of where it is usually glued in.

Victor: I received this 20 inch wall clock yesterday and tried 4 different AA batteries with no success. The needle never moved once. I checked the orientation of the battery and its placement for proper contact. The item was dead on arrival. The clock is made of cheap plastic and the clock mechanism is poor quality. I was expecting a wall clock with substance, instead I got a broken plastic wall clock that isn't worth more than $25 if it was working. Unfortunately, it was dead on arrival and I had to send it back.

I love how the clock looks. However, it's not exactly the clock in the listing. If you look at my photo you can read, "Firstime Manufactory" inside the clock. Now I had purchased one of these clocks in used condition. It looked like the one in the listing. And it didn't work! However, I liked how it looked and fit my space. So I decided to take a chance on a new one. I have only had it for a couple hours so I can't say how well it keeps time in the long run. But it's been right on the money so far. I can't hear any sound coming from it. I'd recommend the clock as of now. If that changes I'll update my review.

I'm deducting one star just because I didn't get the exact clock in the photo.

Margaret H.: We couldn’t be more pleased with this clock. It’s lightweight and very easy to hang on the wall and it has the look of an antique timepiece. The clock keeps excellent time and is indeed silent. We bought it for my elderly mother so that she could see the time from across the room but we didn’t expect it to look so lovely, and to be a decorative piece on its own.
