Atlamia Self-Cleaning Slicker Brush for Dogs and Cats

Sydney: Asking a very cheap cat brush to be able to withstand a sleepy person walking to the restroom in the middle of the night is really asking too much, to be fair. That said, the grate that helps push all the fur off the brush did completely break off when I stepped on it in the middle of the night while walking to the rest room. So take that as you will.

Cat loves it though. She's a brush-lover, so don't expect this brush to convert a brush-hater of a cat. The super fine tines are well protected with the little protective plastic drips, and the size is pretty great for her, though it could be a little smaller (we've got a small cat though). She asks for the brush every night before bed and will flop over at your feet as soon as you get close to her. The brush does a good job of collecting the fur, though without the little grate to clean it, it has started to build up a bit. Again, my own fault for stepping on it!

Pezgirl: My neighborhood cat loves it, he's super hairy. The hair release thing leaves a little bit more hair in than I'd prefer. I still have to pull hard to get it all out. Perhaps that's his thick hair, and for the price it's decent. Not a miracle worker for me or Thomas the cat.

Christopher Keith: I have a large Maine Coon and getting through his fur can be like pulling teeth. This brush was able to move through the fur and rarely pulled. The brush was easy to clean, although I did notice that sometimes the push feature would get stuck and you'd have to hit it twice. However; that was something that I considered not a problem due to how much fur the brush was collecting.

Due to the shape, I found that it was very easy to get into tight areas such as his back legs, and lower stomach and it didn't get stuck even with the thicker fur. My cat didn't seem to mind the experience, and would let me use it longer than he normally would when it came to other brushes.

SS: Love this brush! I had gotten a different brush without the protected tips and my dog was not happy with it. I did the proper socialization of starting slow and treating with each brush. And the other didn't work as well because it seemed to be uncomfortable. This one, you could tell that she is very comfortable as she sticks around and lets me brush her now :) It also helps that the grip is very comfortable to hold given that it's ribbed. and the button to release the hair is really easy to use. Would highly recommend. I have a straight haired labradoodle. Not too many knots in the hair. I just use it with her dinner each night and her hair comes out nice and soft.

Sal: I got this slicker brush as it was one of the cheapest online and it had fairly good reviews. After all, it is just a slicker brush with a simple self-clean mechanism and it is a basic grooming need.
After a few uses, I was fairly satisfied. I have a lab puppy so she does not have very long hair but a dense coat. She likes it when I brush and it helps untangle fur and bring shine (due to the release of natural oils !).

Cons: As for use, I found the handle to be slippery as it is just plastic. I also think the teeth could have been a bit dense as it okay job for dogs to breed but left gaps in combed areas. I am not complaining as it is still worth the money. I will be investing in better products later but keep using it for now
