I had wrapped the 4 steel legs with filled sand bags I bought on Amazon. It comes with 4 metal stakes, two didn’t fit in the holes on the legs but I had my car dealership guys scrape the pointed pieces off them at the shop. I haven’t put the netting up yet until the pollen season ends, but it looks like it’ll put up nicely, there are rings built into the frame pieces. The top isn’t really steel like it appears, but it’s a sturdy panel colored like steel, and they all fit to put a roof up. The instructions were coded by letter, it took 5 long hours to put together and I was paying someone, so factor that in. I’m going to put solar string lights up, set up my furniture and I think it’ll be perfect. Not sure about an outdoor rug. So far I would give it a full 5 star recommendation.

Tim Wood: My wife and I looked at a lot of different gazebos included soft canvas and hard top. We landed on hardtop for our situation. The gazebo arrived in 2 weeks and was in two separate boxes. One contained all of the roof panels and the other had all other parts. Overall the material is really good. It is not super heavy/thick metal but the way it's constructed it feels sturdy and secure. Installation was not bad and I completed it by myself over two days and spent about 6 hours in total and it was done. I used an 8' stepladder and a cordless drill with a metric socket for easier tightening of all the bolts. The drill was not necessary and you could absolutely use a socket/ratchet. The ladder was pretty critical for me installing it alone as I had to get elevated to hold and support the unit while standing it up. I set up the base (4 posts and support arms) and then set up the roof and raised the roof structure onto the base and it was the easiest way in my mind to do it. I did not tighten any bolts until the end in case I needed to adjust anything but just hand tightened them for safety. I had two items that were damaged, they were the drip rails for the ends of the roof panels. I...

B. Boyington: First off, the packaging was top notch. It came in 2 boxes, both very heavy. Total weight 285 lbs The flat one contained the roof sections. There was an aluminum frame inside the box to keep the contents contained and protected from damage. The second was rectangular and contained everything else. The instructions were illustrated with step by step directions.
The day before assembly I unpacked the boxes and moved the pieces from the garage to the patio. Wear cut resistant gloves when handling the roof sections. You will need at !east one 6' step ladder and a step stool.
The assembly is easy for two persons. Make sure you have a good Phillips and flat head screwdriver. The one in the box is a waste. The nuts and bolts are metric. A std metric socket set will be sufficient. A curved wrench comes in the kit and is helpful, but the flat one us useless.
The assembly took a total if 6 hours including lunch and water breaks. Caution, only finger tighten the nuts and bolts. That will facilitate the installation of the roofing sections. Wear your gloves while installing the roof as the edges tend to be sharp. Once the roof is installed tighten all the nuts and bolts. With...

MODESTOJIMMODESTOJIM: Assembly was mostly an all day task for one person until placement of roof pieces, then two tall people needed. A mind-boggling array of parts, but everything was well labeled. The directions were at times not that explanatory but I muddled through with minimal redoes. I was hoping the advertised insulating properties would keep me cool under the CA sun but the dark top is not good, not insulating at all. The underside got too hot to touch. I am going to flip them over so the white side is up to reflect light and heat, hoping it helps. (Next day edit) After reversing all the roof panels to white side up, sitting under the gazebo is much more tolerable even in 99 degree heat. The underside of the roof panels still get very hot to the touch and therefore radiate heat downward, but not burning hot as with the dark side up.

Jennie L. KilbyJennie L. Kilby: First of all, I bought this in the winter when it was on sale and I could only store it in the house. It was so heavy that it didn’t occur to me that it would not be what I ordered. It was supposed to have aluminum roof panels, but they were some kind of polycarbonate that was packed in an aluminum frame 🤨. Needless to say, these panels are fairly delicate and the first piece broke before we could get it secured. It was too late to contact the seller for a refund, but I hoped that I could get replacement panels. Hah😕. The item is no longer available and no way to contact seller. Then, a wind storm threw a pole right through the roof only 2 weeks after assembling the gazebo. $900 for this damned thing and it was ruined 😠. Fortunately, I know people and I am having new panels made out of appropriate material. It was a lot of work putting that thing together and I will have to take it apart to have patterns made for the new panels, then I’ll have to put the new panels in, once they are done. BUYER BEWARE. I read the reviews. I saw where one review said the panels were plastic or something similar. But, as heavy as the box was, it felt like the weight was metal. Yeah, the...
