ASPECTEK 20W Electronic Bug Zapper Insect Killer: Upgrade Your Home Protection

Brent: Bought this after seeing a neighbor had one hanging above the entry door going from garage to into house to try to limit flies that get into the house. Works amazing to reduce the number of flies that get into the house when hung just above the door leading into the house. We live in a rural part of Wisconsin and the flies in the summer are out of control. The 3 little kids we have like to leave the door leading into the house from the garage open inviting all the flies that are in the area to enter. It doesn't eliminate all the flies getting in but severely reduces that number. It also seemed that the several flies that were in the garage overnight would go to the light and be eliminated before the next day. After months of use I still get startled when a bug meets its maker when I enter the garage. The sound it makes would be equivalent to stepping on one of the snap pops you throw around July 4th.

Terry S: The only issue is that if a wasp or large bug flies in it will trip your circuit breaker. This has happened numerous times. I don't know if there is an engineering solution for this, but that is just my issue.

Rob Gurganus: This is a good product if you have pets that are indoor and outdoor where they come across fleas and bring them inside. It is also a good product for those days you leave open a door or window and bugs fly inside. Now, let me tell you: it will pop loud (it will make you jump at times, lol) BUT, with each pop I know that another bug has "bit the dust" and I'm more free from home pests. All of the insects don't fall to the tray, however. But, that's not a problem that a small broom can't fix, and the benefits of the bug zapping very much so overrides stray insects around it. I wish I'd bought this thing sooner!

pirelli: Awesome bug zapper! Loud zapping sound is not quiet, but it works great! I didn't know we had that many moths in our yard, it's packed with dead moths and other bugs every morning. Buying a second one to help keep up with the annihilation of insects.

WilliamG: This is an odd product, gives off a fair amount of light, and is pretty awkward to place about the house. But, it really does attract flying insects. And it will kill them. When it does pop an insect, it is a pretty loud POP, so it is evident something just died.

Justin: I bought this zapper to replace my old one and boy am I glad that I did. This zapper has yet to miss a beat. Its been on steady since it arrived in the mail. Its fairly quiet unless it finds a big fly which then you will hear the loud zap. Cleaning is quite easy and the fact it comes with a extra bulb puts this zapper at the top of my list.

A&S: Does not consume much power, kills houseflies constantly, a bit loud and annoying not for bedroom, but otherwise great. Dog is afraid of it.

Amazon Customer: This is an amazing little bug zapper. I put it in our barn because the flies were so bad. After spending a fortune on fly tape and bait bags I decided to order this.. it works wonderful. Power cord is short so it limits where it can hang but overall it can kill lots of bugs, safely and that’s what I was after.

This machine is not to be trifled with. It is the OG bug zapper and makes no apologies for the thunderclap zap that you will hear no matter where you are in the house when bug and machine meet. If you are nearby when it eliminates something then you may even see the brief flash of blinding light. George Lucas wishes he had thought of that effect when he made Star Wars.

5015140656: I just got this today so I will update my review after a couple weeks. I've plugged it in and nothing has gotten zapped as yet! Excited to see the first bugs zapped! To continue...😊

So it's been 4 days now and I've heard it pop a total of 4 times. Now it could be because I don't have many bugs right now, that I thought I had, who knows but hopefully it will continue to be fruitful. Will do another update in a week or so. Still very happy that I bought this bug zapper! It's loud so I turn it off when I go to bed at night. Maybe that's why it's not doing much popping or zapping as yet. I can't sleep with that loud of a pop so for now it is staying off at night.
