This product is EXCELLENT if you have the ability to use a hose. I use it on my balcony in a high rise building and its disgusting having to take it inside to the bathroom (I used a garbage bag to carry it and threw the bag out) to wash it out. The smell is horrible and really the process of cleaning it in my bathroom was horrible. If I was allowed to hose or wash it outside it would have been fantastic as it has the drainage holes and easy to clean but I am not allowed to even wash the patio floor so this product did not work for me. It has sheds a lot which was a but tough as my puppy thought it was fun to pull out the ends!

Beta:
I cut this into pieces to use in a nesting box and the chickens seem to like it. Does a good job of protecting the eggs from the wood below and the chickens can't scrape out a bare spot to break eggs on. I can clean it by pulling it out and smacking it against the dirt a few times and anything stuck to it more or less falls off. I haven't had to hose it down yet, but that's also an option.

This grass holds an odor and goes not absorb as well as others. There is a lot of it, though. And, it sheds a lot.
