Ben: The product itself is what it is described as - a piece of Astroturf placed within a plastic liner. The problem is that this is not a good idea. The plastic grass strands of the turf are relatively easy to pull out by any determined dog (my 8lb puppy had no issues pulling hundreds of stands out), so you'll have fake grass stands all over the place.
Since there is no separation between the turf and the liner, as soon as your dog pees on it a couple of times it will become a turf and urine soup that your dog will walk in every-time they go to the bathroom. They will then track their urine covered paws all over your house, and, if your dog is like my dog, they will lay in the urine soup and become urine soup themselves for your enjoyment.
You can try washing it, but you'll need to do this after every pee and since the turf easily disintegrates it washing it will only help your dog in pulling out the grass strands as they loosen. I won't even get started on if your dog has even slightly loose deification.

Amazon Customer: I have a very sweet and skittish rescue. She was kept in a crate for the first couple years of her life (my poor baby) and apparently, that's where she also would potty. Potty breaking her, despite all our efforts, was not happening and we finally gave in to her and set up a potty area for her in the bathroom (which was a pain but she is worth it). I had bought this (or one like it) when I first rescued her and she wanted NO part of it. I tried pads on pad trays, a doggy 'litter' box and finally ended up with pads on the tile. When we moved to a new home in a new state 5 years ago I tried this again, no bueno. Once again, we had converted one of our bathrooms to hers. Each morning I put down pads and every day, bless her heart, she would wee at the edge of them leaving a wee wee mess underneath them all. A mess to clean each time. I was washing floors no less than once a day and steaming them weekly. I was tired of it. I got online and thought I would give this a go..AGAIN.
When it arrived it had a strong plastic smell. I set it out in the sun. The next thing I knew, I saw my other dog laying on it and sunbathing (I saw so many reviews where dogs chose to make this a bed...

Gary P: For 84 dollars (after shipping) you're literally getting a dollar store boot tray and a fake piece of grass that I cant imagine costs more than a few dollars. So quite a huge mark up. I cant say if it's effective or not because in about two weeks my dog is yet to use it (yes, Ive tried scenting it with his urine and store bought spray). That's just my dog though, maybe your dog will use it.

Kraftikelli: I was extremely impressed with how sturdy the plastic tray is. I had purchased another brand previously, and the tray was a thin plastic that cracked the second time I picked it up. This one should last for YEARS! The only real issue is there aren't any channel's in the bottom of the tray to divert the urine to the edges, so puddles stay where peed.
The package only has the two pieces: Turf and tray. The other kind had a rubber-backed pad that went under the turf to help absorb the urine. I recommend using a pee pad under the turf to help absord the urine. Otherwise, the urine spreads under the turf and soaks the whole turf the first or second time the dog pees (depending on how much liquid is left by animal). Before I used the pee pads, my puppy would only go on it once, then she considered it "dirty". With a pad, she will use it 3 or 4 times before I have to clean it.
The turf is longer than other brands I have used, which more realistically simulates real grass. When dogs get used to going on the short turf, they will sometimes have trouble going in long grass that tickles their legs & tummy. This longer turf makes the transition to real grass much easier.

Jade Copeland: I was skeptical about this when I first bought but I am so glad that I did. It's such a life saver if you live in an upstairs unit, especially with little dogs. I have two, ten pound yorkies. They use the medium size and it's perfect for them. They love it and there was minimal training involved. It seemed instinctual for them to use it which was awesome. I could see this being a total disaster if you don't utilize properly so just some advice for those of you who are considering purchasing:
Do NOT use this inside. First of all, it's disgusting. You should never train your animals to go inside of the house. Whether it's a potty pad or grass, whatever. It's a no, don't do it. Secondly, it will smell...it just will. You don't want a grass patch filled with urine sitting in your home. This is a great solution for someone with an upstairs deck/patio or to put in a small backyard without grass. It's hard to leash up, & take small dogs all the way downstairs and outside your apartment unit every couple hours. Definitely try to get them to go on their walks as much as possible but it's great for in between.
Put a potty pad underneath the grass and change it every couple...

Bibs: I find this products works most of the time, we have had a couple of accidents but I am pleased with the results. I place a potted plant that hangs down a bit close to the mat this way my little boy dogs have the plant to lift their leg to and the urine goes on the mat. I also place a pee pad under the mat on the tray for easier cleaning. At the moment I am just using it outdoors on my deck. I have small dogs and the deck is fairly large, my yard is not fenced so they have the run of the deck. I don't like them peeing all over the deck because we sit there, so this keeps them doing their business in area. I am happy with the product and would recommend it for anyone who has trouble teaching their dog where to do their business.
